Okay, so I’m seeing some amazing news about the Netflix live-action One Piece! Everyone’s going wild about it online, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier! It’s great to see the show doing so well.

The 88% RT Thriller Quentin Tarantino Called ‘1 of the Greatest Films Ever Made’

Everyone knows Sergio Leone is Quentin Tarantino’s favorite director, but he’s also always talked about how much the filmmakers of the 1970s – often called the ‘movie brats’ – influenced him. People usually think of Martin Scorsese or Steven Spielberg when they think of that era, but Tarantino was actually most inspired by Brian De Palma, a master of suspense from that time. De Palma, heavily influenced by Alfred Hitchcock, created classic thrillers like Sisters, Dressed to Kill, and Body Double. These films have only grown more iconic over the years. While De Palma made many great movies, including some that redefined gangster films, Tarantino especially recommends his 1981 film Blow Out, considering it a true masterpiece.

Frankie Muniz Reveals First Look at Malcolm in the Middle Reboot, and It’s the Reunion Fans Were Waiting For

Frankie Muniz shared a sneak peek photo on X (formerly Twitter) with his former costars Justin Berfield and Christopher Masterson. He admitted he wasn’t supposed to post it yet, playfully referencing the show’s rebellious theme song. Muniz expressed his excitement for fans to see the new episodes and shared how much he misses working with his “brothers.” You can see the photo below.

Black Phone 2 Review: The Sequel to Blumhouse’s $160M Hit Is a Disappointing Elm Street Copycat

The first Black Phone movie was a big success, mainly because of the strong acting. Ethan Thames, who became a rising star after this film and landed roles in other popular movies, and Madeleine McGraw, who played Finney’s brave sister Gwen, both captivated audiences. Ethan played the terrified Finney, while Madeleine portrayed Gwen as she used her psychic abilities to try and save him – a power reminiscent of the character ‘Shining’. Ethan Hawke’s villain, the Grabber, was also incredibly effective, switching between unsettling politeness and genuine menace, and his mask quickly became iconic. The story was gripping and ended in a way that felt complete and satisfying – a rare treat in horror films. However, Blumhouse has decided to revisit the story with Black Phone 2.

Marvel Is Ruining Doctor Doom to Prove a Point (and It’s Kind of Stupid)

As a huge Marvel fan, I’ve always been fascinated by Doctor Doom. He’s a classic villain, absolutely, but there’s a strange nobility to him – he carries himself with this regal air that makes him surprisingly compelling. It’s gotten to the point where a lot of fans, myself included sometimes, can almost root for him! That’s why the big twist in One World Under Doom – that he was draining the life force of Latveria to fuel his powers – really bothered me. It felt like the story was trying to tell us we’d all misread Doom this whole time, and honestly, it just didn’t land. It undermined what made him so interesting in the first place.
