As a devoted fan, I can’t help but reflect on an intriguing conversation I had recently that took me back to the inception of the spin-off series from the Borderlands universe. It was all kicked off by the captivating DLC for Borderlands 2 titled “Assault on Dragon Keep.” In this delightful expansion, Tiny Tina transformed into a charismatic Dungeons & Dragons-style game master, leading players through an immersive adventure filled with fantastical creatures. This remarkable DLC would later find its own footing as a separate standalone game.

The movie we’re discussing is titled “Godzilla Vs. Kong,” which marks its fourth appearance in Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse series, the 12th installment in the King Kong franchise, and the 36th film in the Godzilla franchise. This epic showdown began streaming on Tubi, Fox’s free streaming platform, on August 1, 2025. Directed by Adam Wingard, “Godzilla Vs. Kong” finds the world on the edge as Kong and Godzilla face off in an awe-inspiring battle for eternity. The impressive ensemble features Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Lance Reddick, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir.

The much-anticipated movie titled “Infinity Castle,” part of the Demon Slayer franchise, has been unveiled in Japan, marking the beginning of a trilogy that will conclude the series. While anime platforms like X (previously Twitter) are notorious for spoilers, plot leaks regarding Infinity Castle have been effectively managed by Ufotable, Aniplex, and Crunchyroll, leaving fans worldwide excited but in suspense. For now, US and international viewers can only speculate based on the trailers, with a significant development hinted for Shinobu Kocho, everyone’s favorite female Demon Slayer Hashira.

There isn’t much more to add about the live-action Snow White featuring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, except that it seems destined to go down in history as a major disappointment. Released in March amidst various social and political controversies, this big-budget production failed to attract audiences at the box office. As the months have passed, one hit movie after another has outperformed Snow White’s earnings, with Zach Cregger’s adult-oriented horror film Weapons being the latest example.

Captain America: New World Order”, “Thunderbolts”*, and “Fantastic Four: Fresh Start”. The next standalone movie series is “Spider-Man: Fresh Beginning”, followed by “Avengers: Doomsday”, a title hinting at the primary antagonist who has yet to make an appearance.

*Note that I couldn’t paraphrase “Thunderbolts” as it doesn’t lend itself well to rephrasing without losing its original meaning.

During a recent live broadcast, it was revealed that the team is planning to organize the RGG Summit 2025 on September 24th, with the event commencing as follows:
