One of the Best Fantasy Shows Gets a Hopeful Reboot Update (but There’s a Catch)

The television series titled “Xena: Warrior Princess” gained immense popularity between 1995 and 2001, revolutionizing TV landscapes through its pioneering portrayal of a strong female protagonist, embodied by Lucy Lawless’ Xena character. This influential show paved the way for numerous other action series led by women in subsequent years. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly before the 30th anniversary of “Xena” on September 4, co-creator Rob Tapert hinted at plans to reboot the show as “Xena“. Yet, he cautioned that this revival might not meet fans’ expectations in a straightforward manner.
