It’s not shocking that the film feels tonally inconsistent, jumping between different types of comedy without fully coming together. Over time, criticism of Reeves’ acting has transformed into a genuine appreciation for his seemingly effortless authenticity, which is particularly helpful given the film’s difficulty in balancing humor and serious moments.
