The animated series Smiling Friends, created by Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack, has concluded. The final two episodes, “Friend Bot” and “Charlie’s Uncle Dies and Doesn’t Come Back,” aired on Adult Swim on April 12th and are now available on HBO Max, bringing the total number of episodes to 27. The show, which began in 2020, follows the staff of a company whose job is to bring happiness to people, mainly focusing on the adventures of Charlie, a pessimist, and Pim, an optimist, as they tackle strange and unusual situations to cheer up their clients.

A lot of fans are disappointed with how The Book of Boba Fett turned out. The series was meant to be Boba Fett’s big moment, but it didn’t live up to expectations. With the release of Maul – Shadow Lord, many are now comparing the stories and feeling that Maul received the kind of compelling arc Boba Fett deserved. One fan jokingly suggested the show should have been titled “Civil Servant Fett,” highlighting how mundane Boba’s storyline ultimately was.

Growing up in Montreal, my brother Marty and I started out as puppeteers back in the ’40s and ’50s. It was a real passion of ours! That eventually led to a fantastic opportunity – we got hired by Hanna-Barbera to help create the characters and sets for The Banana Splits. That show, with Fleegle, Snorky, Bingo, and Drooper, was totally psychedelic and a lot of fun. It was our first big break into television, and it opened doors for us to keep experimenting and come up with all sorts of new ideas for the format.

As a long-time gamer, I’ve always thought making multiplayer games is incredibly complicated, and it sounds like a ton of upfront planning is essential. I really respect Naughty Dog for making the tough call to cancel their project, even after putting so much money into it. It’s smart to avoid the ‘sunk cost’ trap – just because you’ve invested a lot doesn’t mean you should keep going if it’s not working!

For the first time, someone other than the Wachowskis will be leading a Matrix movie. Warner Bros. has chosen Drew Goddard, known for Cloverfield, to write and direct the next installment. It’s unclear whether the new film will continue the story from The Matrix Resurrections or start fresh, but three key characters really need to return to make the sequel feel complete.

With Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again currently streaming on Disney+, photos have surfaced showing the returns of Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron Fist, alongside Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. Colter recently shared an official photo of the three actors together on social media, noting it had been a while since they’d reunited. Jones responded with a playful comment, confirming the news that they were all back together. The only original Defender missing from the photo is Daredevil himself.
