As a passionate cinephile, I’ve recently had the pleasure of delving into the gripping world of “Freelance,” masterfully directed by the action maestro, Pierre Morel – the very same visionary behind the pulse-pounding thriller “Taken.” Initially released to a more modest audience, this film has now found its rightful place on Netflix in August and is swiftly making waves. Currently holding the seventh spot among the top 10 most popular films on Netflix in the United States, it’s clear that “Freelance” has earned its recognition as a must-see action masterpiece.

On Monday’s episode of “Peacemaker: The Official Podcast with James Gunn”, the creator of “The Suicide Squad” and “Superman” movies delved into what is considered canon in the DC Universe. In the first season episode “Murn After Reading” of “Peacemaker”, Chris Smith (played by John Cena) disparaged the Flash as an intolerable jerk, and though he’s never interacted with Wonder Woman, he claims she was flirting with him at a party from afar.

In August 9th, 2025, during Otakon convention this year, Discotek Media announced nine new licenses for release, encompassing both classics and popular titles. Among these is the 2004 anime “Monster,” with plans to release all 74 episodes in high definition by 2026. The Blu-ray edition will offer Japanese audio, English subtitles, and an English dub. Other enticing licenses set for distribution include “Shin Ace o Nerae!”, “Shin-chan,” the fourth, fifth, and sixth Digimon movies, and additional titles. Given Discotek Media’s past involvement with licenses like “Berserk” (1997), “City Hunter,” and “Fist of the North Star,” the upcoming release of “Monster” promises to delight fans who have longed to enjoy this exceptional series in top-notch quality.

Although She-Hulk shares a design resemblance with the Hulk, her character was intentionally crafted to stand out from his. Their conflicts, as well as their strengths and weaknesses, were designed to be distinct. In essence, the stories of Jen Walters diverge significantly from traditional Hulk narratives, differing in tone and objective.
