Bethesda Gives Update on Release Plans for The Elder Scrolls 6

Bethesda’s Todd Howard recently stated that while The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced eight years ago, there’s no immediate pressure to release it. He explained this is partly because players are still actively enjoying Bethesda’s older games. Unfortunately, this suggests the game is likely still several years away from release. However, there is a positive side to this news.

One of Nickelodeon’s Biggest Classic Movies Is About To Leave Tubi

As a big fan of classic Nicktoons, I was excited to see Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius available on Tubi back in March. But sadly, it’s already been marked for removal – they haven’t said exactly when it’ll be gone, though. It’s such a special film – it was even nominated for the very first Academy Award for Best Animated Feature! And, of course, it’s what launched The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, the TV show that I (and a lot of people!) loved watching on Nickelodeon for three seasons, from 2002 to 2006. The movie itself is a blast – it’s about Jimmy, a super-smart kid, who accidentally launches a satellite into space and then has to team up with his friends and their robot dog to rescue their parents from a crazy cosmic adventure.

The Monsterverse Just Set Up a Godzilla Twist That Changes Titan Lore Forever

The Monsterverse series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, is now largely exploring how humans and Titans can coexist. The leaders at Apex think Titans can be controlled, which brings up the important issue of who should be in charge. Other characters in the show have very different opinions, and Cate Randa, played by Anna Sawai, is quickly becoming a key player in the story.

John Hannah Will Return in ‘The Mummy 4’ Alongside Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz

According to The Hollywood Reporter, John Hannah will be back as Jonathan Carnahan in the fourth Mummy movie. Hannah first appeared as Evelyn’s older brother – a skilled thief – in The Mummy and returned for both The Mummy Returns (2001) and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008). He’s also well-known for his roles in films like Four Weddings and a Funeral, Sliding Doors, and The Hurricane, and on TV shows such as Spartacus and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

FX’s New Horror Series Based On American Psycho Author Bret Easton Ellis’ Bestseller Gets Release Window

Producer Brad Simpson recently told Variety that the FX series The Shards will debut sometime later this summer. He explained that while HBO initially had the rights to adapt the book, they eventually became available, and FX quickly acquired them. Ryan Murphy, who’s overseeing the show, brought the project to FX because he knew how much the team loved the source material.

This Month’s Highly Anticipated Firefly Announcement Could Recreate a Major Star Wars Problem

Fox cancelled the show Firefly after only 11 of its 14 episodes aired, leaving the story unfinished. But the Firefly world didn’t end there. Starting in 2005, Dark Horse Comics released official comics that continued the story, with one series directly connecting the TV show to the movie Serenity. In 2018, Titan Books began publishing authorized Firefly novels, with Joss Whedon overseeing the project. Later that year, Boom! Studios took over the comics license and launched a new series meant to continue the story from both the TV show and the earlier Dark Horse comics. Unfortunately, Boom! Studios didn’t always follow the storylines established by Dark Horse. This means the new animated series is entering a franchise where what’s considered official story material is already inconsistent – a problem Star Wars faced before and addressed with a divisive choice.
