A funny thing recently happened in the world of independent video games: two completely separate games were both released with the same title, Piece by Piece, within days of each other. Instead of causing problems, the developers decided to work together. This collaboration on Steam could actually help both games become more successful.

Director Joseph Kahn, with producers Adi Shankar and Jil Hardin, released the short film Power/Rangers, a gritty and surprisingly mature take on the franchise. Sources at Variety now predict Project Hail Mary will earn $63-65 million in its opening weekend in the US and Canada, significantly higher than earlier predictions of $50 million. This would be the biggest opening weekend ever for a movie distributed by Amazon, surpassing the $58.3 million earned by Creed III in 2023. When people think of classic horror movies, Carrie always comes to mind. Originally a 1974 novel by Stephen King, the story follows Carrie White, a shy and isolated teenager who discovers she has telekinetic powers. She ultimately uses those powers to get revenge on those who have wronged her. The original 1976 film, directed by Brian De Palma and starring Sissy Spacek, and the 2013 remake starring Chloë Grace Moretz, are now both available to stream on Prime Video, starting March 1st. Both movies depict Carrie’s life as a bullied and abused teenager, and how that trauma leads to a terrifying and supernatural act of revenge.
A short new trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie has dropped, and it’s packed with surprises! The ten-second video offers a close-up look at many of the characters who will be in the film, including some lesser-known faces. Eagle-eyed viewers also spotted a fun crossover: Nintendo’s R.O.B. and the Pikmin will both make appearances!
