The first Resident Evil movie came out on March 15, 2002, and it was a decent horror film, even though it didn’t really follow the story of the video game – it just shared some of the same creatures. While it started as a pretty good, scary movie, the series quickly became much more exaggerated. Sometimes the sequels would reference the game, but other times they strayed far from the source material.

The development of the Dark Souls series is clear when looking at games like Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, which all show how the games have grown from their original design. Despite these newer games becoming more focused on action or offering open worlds, Dark Souls still feels distinct. This difference mainly comes down to its gameplay mechanics; Dark Souls has specific limitations that make it a uniquely challenging experience.

Season 4 of The Boys leaves viewers on a chilling note, with Homelander seemingly taking power in Washington D.C. He’s built an army of super-powered individuals and is rounding up anyone who opposes him, including The Boys themselves. While Homelander’s grip on the country is frightening, the season hints that an even bigger threat might be lurking. (Spoiler alert for those familiar with The Boys comics!)

While fans eagerly await the next Fast & Furious film, Fast Forever, scheduled for release in 2028, they can currently enjoy Fast X on Peacock. Released in theaters as one of 2023’s biggest hits, the film began streaming on March 15th. As the 11th movie in the popular franchise (following F9), Fast X centers on Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto, as he works to shield his family from Dante Reyes, the son of a villain defeated in Fast Five, who is determined to take everything Dom holds dear. The film features returning cast members like Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster, and Sung Kang, as well as new additions Jason Momoa and Brie Larson.

One of the best things about reviewing video games is getting the chance to play titles you might not normally pick up. This often means discovering new franchises or genres, which can be surprisingly rewarding.

The Perfect Order Pokémon TCG set includes three main products: an Elite Trainer Box featuring Mega Zygarde, a Booster Bundle, and a Booster Display Box. It’s a standard release focused on providing booster packs, without the extras found in special collections. Overall, Perfect Order is a solid addition to the Pokémon TCG. While it doesn’t have a ton of flashy cards, it does include some interesting Illustration Rares and a few cards players will likely use in their decks. It’s not the most exciting set recently, but it’s certainly not a bad one either.

Ten years ago, in 2016, Capcom and Marvelous launched Monster Hunter Stories, a new branch of the popular Monster Hunter franchise. While still an action RPG like the main Monster Hunter games, Stories offers a different experience. You play as a Rider instead of a Hunter, and battles take place using a turn-based system. Although not as widely known as the core Monster Hunter series, Stories has been successful enough to see three games released in a decade, and each new installment has received better reviews than the last.

From March 2nd to 8th, the movie Deepwater Horizon – which tells the true story of the oil rig explosion – ranked as the 7th most popular film on Netflix in the U.S. It outperformed movies like Trolls, Kpop Demon Hunters, and Joe’s College Road Trip to reach the top 10, marking its first week on the chart.
