The original voice actors from *Avatar: The Last Airbender* are getting back together for a special reunion, though it will be an exclusive event. With the 20th anniversary of the beloved animated series approaching, fans can expect a lot more *Avatar* content in the future. As the franchise enters a new phase, this reunion is a great way to look back and appreciate the show’s journey since it first aired on Nickelodeon.
Nickelodeon revealed its plans for New York Comic Con 2025, including a reunion of the original voice actors from *Avatar: The Last Airbender* (according to Variety). However, this reunion will be exclusive to attendees of the event, meaning only those present at the convention will be able to witness it. While it’s exciting to see the cast together again, it will be a special experience limited to fans who can attend in person.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Cast to Reunite at New York Comic Con 2025
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, *Avatar: The Last Airbender* is hosting a special panel at New York Comic Con on October 12, 2025. The panel will include series co-creator Bryan Konietzko and voice actors Zach Tyler Eisen (Aang), Mae Whitman (Katara), Jack DeSena (Sokka), Michaela Jill Murphy (Toph), and Dante Basco (Zuko). Janet Varney, who voiced Korra, will lead the discussion. It’s a must-see event for fans of the beloved animated series as they reminisce about the show’s legacy.
Exciting things are coming for *Avatar: The Last Airbender* fans! Paramount, Nickelodeon, and Avatar Studios are releasing a new movie, *The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender*, next year. This film will show the original characters as adults, and will feature a completely new voice cast. If you’re a fan of the original voice actors, be sure to check out the upcoming panel while you still can!
What’s Next for Avatar: The Last Airbender?
I’m excited to share that *The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender* is finally hitting theaters next year on October 9th, after a few setbacks. What’s really cool is that it’s going to connect the original series with *The Legend of Korra* in a meaningful way. And that’s not all – the original creators are back, not just for the movie, but also for a brand new TV series! It’s called *Avatar: Seven Havens*, and it’s going to follow the Avatar who comes after Korra. Apparently, it’s set in a really chaotic, post-apocalyptic future. It sounds like they’re building out the *Avatar* universe in a big way!
But that’s not all! Netflix is also creating new seasons of its live-action shows, including *Avatar: The Last Airbender*. Seasons 2 and 3 are currently being filmed, though Netflix hasn’t announced when the new episodes will be released. This means fans have a lot of *Avatar* content to look forward to in various formats soon.
