As a huge Marvel fan, I’m getting really excited! It sounds like we might finally get our first glimpse of Avengers: Doomsday very soon – a new report is claiming we’ll see the trailer drop any day now, and it even hints at how long it might be!
Avengers: Doomsday to get a teaser, not a full trailer
A source on X (formerly Twitter), known as Cryptic4KQual, is reporting that the first teaser for the 2026 Avengers: Doomsday movie will likely be short – just over a minute long. They emphasize this will be a brief teaser, not a full trailer, and will be shown before the upcoming Avatar film. It’s important to remember this is currently unconfirmed information and should be treated as a rumor.
If released as expected, the first trailer for the new Avengers movie would be the shortest debut trailer for any film in the series so far. Previous trailers have gotten longer with each movie – the first trailer for the original Avengers was about 2 minutes and 4 seconds, Age of Ultron’s was 2 minutes and 16 seconds, Infinity War’s was 2 minutes and 24 seconds, and Endgame’s was 2 minutes and 25 seconds. This new teaser is expected to be around half that length. It’s also planned to be released well over a year before the movie comes out on December 18, 2026.
The short length of the trailer was probably intentional, fitting with the film’s unusually early marketing push. This strategy seems to be similar to how Disney has launched other big franchises. For example, the first teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens was 90 seconds long and released almost a year before the movie came out, with longer trailers following later.
Marvel might be following a successful strategy similar to what they did with Avengers: Endgame. According to reports, a first look at the upcoming “Doomsday” film will be shown with “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” James Cameron’s new movie coming out December 19, 2025. This is similar to how the first trailer for Endgame was released during the busy holiday season in 2018, leading to record-breaking views. By pairing the teaser with a highly anticipated blockbuster like Avatar, Marvel can guarantee it will be seen by a huge audience in theaters.
For now, fans must wait for an official confirmation from the studio.
