AWAKEN: Astral Blade coming to Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch in 2025

In 2025, it’s been confirmed that the games publisher ESDigital Games and game developer Dark Pigeon Games will be launching the side-scrolling action title “AWAKEN: Astral Blade” on platforms such as Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The game titled “AWAKEN: Astral Blade” was initially released on the PlayStation 5 and both Steam and Epic Games Store platforms on October 22, 2024 for PC users.

In the game titled “AWAKEN: Astral Blade,” you assume the character of Tania, who embarks on her riskiest mission so far. She delves into the hidden, sinister history of an ancient civilization on the enigmatic Horace Islands. This 2D action-adventure invites players to craft their own narrative and excel in mastering Tania’s agility, talents, and arsenal to confront fearsome mutant creatures that inhabit the island.

Accompany the bionic girl named Tania on her mission to explore the lush rainforests of the Horace Islands, where she’s been tasked with locating a team of researchers that have gone missing. Upon arrival, Tania stumbles upon an unusual surge of Karpas energy sweeping across the islands, causing the local flora and fauna to transform into menacing mutants.

As Tania ventures deeper into the woods, she stumbles upon the centuries-old relics of Jacha City, an ancient civilization believed to be extinct. Here, she finds the former Royal Altar and ground zero of the Karpas energy source. Tania’s real adventure starts now as she uncovers secrets from the past hidden in the ruins. She must now unravel the mystery behind the Kapras Energy and her own origins and destiny.

During the third stage of Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai’s initiative, called the China Hero Project, supporting local Chinese developers, the game also received the “Best in Play” recognition at GDC 2024.

The game was part of a program called China Hero Project (Phase 3) by Sony Interactive Entertainment Shanghai that helps Chinese developers. At the GDC 2024 event, it won the title of “Best in Play”.
