Shadows of Silence” is a story told without words using movements, visuals, and music influenced by Komitas, that echoes the philosophical landscapes of Rene Laloux, the transformative symbolism of Robert Sahakyants, the whimsical narrative style of Hayao Miyazaki, and the darkly surreal aesthetic of Tim Burton.
Characters journey alongside Ayasa, a girl navigating shattered territories where Love, Faith, and Hope confront Greed, Betrayal, and Apathy. Each fantastical landscape personifies a moral influence-encompassing both virtue and corruption-and compels players to determine whether Ayasa’s course will steer towards rehabilitation and harmony, or plunge into despotism.
