Previously featured contestant Corinne Olympios discusses the playful dynamic of her connection with Johnny Bananas.
During the June 27th episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast’s mini-series titled “Infamous,” Olympios was queried by hosts Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins about her past relationship with John Devenanzio, famously recognized as Johnny Bananas, a fellow cast member from “House of Villains.
During their time on the reality TV show in 2023, the hosts brought up an earlier playful phase between Olympios and Devenanzio, who was 43 years old at the time.
Olympios started by saying, “Let me share everything with you straight away.” He was single at the time. He met Johnny Bananas and flirted a lot. However, he didn’t want to kiss on camera, unbeknownst to me, it was because of Moriah [Jadea]… and she seemed distressed because he knew that she knew we would get along well.
Olympios went on to say, “He and I played a constant game of cat-and-mouse throughout, but afterwards, we began to casually spend time together off the show, eventually becoming friends.
The television personality mentioned that she’s been in a relationship with David, whom she met while vacationing in the Bahamas about two years ago. She went on to say that he is simply fantastic, as she put it. Before discussing her romantic past, she elaborated on their connection.
Olympios stated, “It’s become something of a family inside joke because I have a less than stellar track record. However, at first, all these men express intense affection for me, saying they’re obsessed with me and even planning to marry me. But it often doesn’t last long; we live together for a while, then the relationship crumbles.
As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but notice that Olympios seems to have struck gold in the romance department. On the flip side, my heart aches for Devenanzio, who, after his 2021 breakup with Morgan Willett – the lovely lady he dated for more than two years post their encounter on ‘The Challenge: War of the Worlds’, now finds himself single once again.
More recently, Devenanzio found himself in the spotlight following an unanticipated event. This was due to a golf cart accident involving NFL legend John Elway in May, which unfortunately resulted in the death of his agent, Jeff Sperbeck.
In the wake of the tragic accident, Devenanzio circulated and then removed footage from the incident. Initially, it was TMZ who disclosed that Devenanzio was riding in the golf cart, attempting to save Sperbeck’s life after the accident.
As per the source, Sperbeck and Bananas were riding on the back of the cart while Elway was driving, and his wife occupied the front passenger seat.
Two weeks following the occurrence, it was determined that Sperbeck, aged 62, died due to traumatic injury to his head, which he suffered in the accident. This severe head trauma ultimately proved lethal.
