Sean Lowe is struggling to accept this reality.
The Bachelor star recently shared that he’s still dealing with the emotional impact of being attacked twice by his family’s old dog, Moose, earlier this year. He’s especially troubled thinking about how his three children with his wife, Catherine Giudici, would have been affected if they had been in his position during the attacks.
He shared on The Jordan Syatt Podcast that his biggest struggle isn’t PTSD itself, but the thought of what would have happened if his children had been involved. He believes the perpetrator would have harmed his kids or wife, and he often thinks about that terrifying possibility. Despite this, he feels he’s generally doing well.
The reality star admitted the frightening experience—which happened only three months after they got their dog, Moose—was really difficult. He also said it’s made him more cautious around other dogs.
He chuckled, saying he’s always loved dogs and never hesitated to get close to them. However, he admitted he’s now more cautious about those kinds of interactions.
In March, Sean, 42, and Catherine, 39, shared a frightening story about what happened when a smoke alarm went off during a backyard barbecue. Their dog, a Boxer, reacted aggressively and became unusually dangerous.
In a video posted to Instagram, Sean described being attacked, saying the dog ‘showed his teeth and just attacked me.’ He explained he could feel the dog tearing at his arm and that he fought to push the dog away.
The couple’s friends were able to take Moose outside, but Sean was already significantly injured.

“I just see blood squirting,” he recalled. “Thank God that that my friends were there because they were able to rush me to the ER.”
After getting stitches, Sean went home, but things quickly got worse. As he was sending his children to stay with his parents, the dog attacked him again, and he was seriously injured before police intervened and took him back to the hospital. Despite everything, Sean didn’t hold the dog, Moose, responsible for the attacks.
Sean explained that the dog had clearly gone through a lot of difficult experiences before they adopted him, and seemed to have a neurological issue. He believes the sound of the smoke alarm triggered a specific reaction in the dog.
While the family ultimately had to rehome Moose, they haven’t written off the entire species.
In June, Sean told TopMob News, “We really love dogs, and we believe adopting them is a great idea. However, it’s important to be aware that there are risks involved, and parents should teach their children how to safely interact with dogs.”

In February 2017, Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter, Maddie Aldridge, then 8 years old, was riding an ATV near their home in Louisiana when it overturned into a pond. She was underwater for several minutes before being rescued.
Jamie Lynn remembered thinking her daughter had died when she was pulled from the water and first responders took over. She shared this on the 2020 Maria Menounos Better Together podcast, recalling the moment she saw her daughter and handed her to the paramedics.
Although the extent of her injuries was initially unclear, Maddie regained consciousness and was able to speak after two days. She was back to her usual self just a few weeks later.
Jamie Lynn shared that she feels incredibly fortunate to have her daughter back after a difficult time where she thought she had lost her. She expressed immense gratitude for being reunited with her.

During filming of the 2025 action comedy Bride Hard, Rebel Wilson suffered an accidental injury on her final day of shooting. According to an interview with Access Hollywood in June 2025, a prop gun hit her in the face during a fight scene, splitting her nose. She immediately left the set, joking about how unlucky she was.
She described being terrified after the 2023 incident, explaining she was surrounded by her own blood. An ambulance was called, and a plastic surgeon had to be brought in to prevent permanent scarring. Thankfully, the surgeon was able to stitch up the wound so well that it’s now barely noticeable.

Jimmy Fallon, the host of The Tonight Show, had a scary accident at home. He tripped and fell, and while trying to grab the counter to stop himself, his ring got caught, nearly pulling his finger off.
Doctors hospitalized him for ten days to try and save his finger after a severe injury – a “ring avulsion” – where the ring caused significant damage and threatened amputation.

Okay, so you HAVE to hear this! My absolute hero, Zane Wach – seriously, the guy’s a machine, doing all that hiking and running, swimming, and triathlons – almost got taken down by altitude sickness! It happened in June 2025 while he was hiking Mount Whitney with his dad, Ryan Wach. I was SO worried when I heard! Thankfully, he’s okay, but can you imagine? Zane Wach, sidelined by altitude sickness?! It was a close call!
I was so worried to hear Ryan explain what happened to him. Apparently, he started seeing things – full-on hallucinations, but the really strange part is, he knew they weren’t real. He told people he was seeing things like snowmen and even Kermit the Frog! It’s just heartbreaking to imagine.
Ryan had to repeatedly stop his teenage son from walking off the cliff while they were hiking back down the trail. The father explained that his son seemed confused and disoriented, and they haven’t figured out why. Ryan believes it was likely a mix of being tired, not getting enough sleep, dehydration, and lingering effects from altitude sickness, which caused his son to question what was real.
After two failed attempts to reach Zane, Ryan watched helplessly as his son tumbled about 120 feet down a cliff. It took six hours for a search and rescue helicopter from Inyo County to arrive and transport Zane to the hospital in Lone Pine. There, he was stabilized before being moved to a specialized trauma center for children in Las Vegas. Doctors put Zane into a medically induced coma, but thankfully, he eventually started breathing independently.
Ryan described his teenager’s recovery from a serious accident – including a head injury, broken finger and ankle, and fractured pelvis – as a long journey. He said, ‘We’re still going through it, but ultimately, he’s going to survive.’
On January 1st, 2023, actor Jeremy Renner, known for his role in Avengers, was seriously injured while helping a family member. He was using a snowplow near his Lake Tahoe home to pull a stuck vehicle when he got out to check on it. The plow then started moving on its own, and Renner was pulled under, resulting in 38 broken bones as he tried to prevent it from hitting his nephew.
In his 2025 memoir, My Next Breath, he described lying on the ice on New Year’s Day, his heartbeat slowing. He wrote that after manually breathing for about thirty minutes – a strenuous effort like doing ten to twenty push-ups every minute for half an hour – he simply grew tired and died, unbeknownst to his daughter, sisters, friends, or parents.
Despite suffering broken bones, significant blood loss, and the danger of dangerously low body temperature, he believed he had died. He wrote that paramedics found his heart rate had dropped to just 18 beats per minute – a level they consider fatal.

I seriously can’t even talk about it without getting choked up. It was May 2025, and I was scrolling TikTok when I saw the most horrifying thing – it was about Emilie and Brady Kiser’s little boy, Trigg. Apparently, their sweet 3-year-old fell into their pool! I was just devastated for them, imagining what they must have been going through. It was absolutely terrifying.
On May 12th, Chandler Police responded to a home after a child was found unconscious in a backyard pool. Police and firefighters performed CPR at the scene before transporting the child, Trigg, to Chandler Regional Hospital. Sadly, Trigg passed away six days later.
Emilie filed a lawsuit asking the court to prevent Maricopa County from releasing details about his death. The lawsuit explained that Emilie is focused on caring for her two-month-old son, Theodore, and is struggling every day.

Dr. Cara Hodgson described a family vacation to Thailand as turning into “the worst 10 days” of her life after she suffered an electric shock from power lines in December 2023. She lost consciousness and was taken to the emergency room, then spent the next week and a half in and out of hospitals, struggling to recover. In a New Year’s Day Instagram post, the influencer expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am so lucky to be here today.”
Despite the discomfort, the orthodontist discovered a newfound appreciation for life. Cara explained that the experience reminded her – and all of us – of something important: simply being alive is a gift. Being able to breathe, eat, speak, and move are all wonderful things worth celebrating.

I was so saddened to hear about Juliana Marins, a Brazilian tourist, who had an accident while hiking Mount Rinjani in Indonesia back in June 2025. She tragically fell from a cliff – thankfully not into the volcano itself – and despite a massive four-day search effort involving 48 people, she couldn’t be saved. The Brazilian government reported that the search team really struggled with the bad weather, difficult terrain, and poor visibility up there. It’s just heartbreaking.
Juliana Marins’ family announced on Instagram that rescue teams reached her location today, but sadly, she did not survive. The family expressed their deep gratitude for all the prayers, kind messages, and support received during this difficult time.

In 2015, actress Tori Spelling, known for her role on Beverly Hills, 90210, accidentally burned her right arm on a hot grill while at an Easter brunch at Benihana. She needed skin grafts to heal and later decided to take legal action against the restaurant.
She revealed on her 2024 podcast, 9021OMG (co-hosted with Jennie Garth), that she received a skin graft from her thigh to cover a severe burn on her arm. She joked, ‘Not many people can say they’re wearing their thigh on their arm!’ but confirmed she was serious – a thin layer of skin from her thigh was used to repair the damage.

Comedian Tony Knight tragically died in June 2024 at the Rock&Cars festival in France when he was struck by falling tree branches. He was 54 years old and enjoying life, according to Joanne Allen, the sister of his partner, Hayley Wright. Allen described Knight as fit, healthy, happy, and full of life, noting his charisma, humor, and passion.
He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Haley shared on Instagram that he was incredibly talented and could turn his hand to anything. She remembered him as a wonderful friend, a devoted dog owner, and, above all, the most important person in her life, saying things will never be the same without him.

A company celebration turned tragic in January 2024. During a party in India to launch the 25th anniversary of Chicago-based software firm Vistex, CEO Sanjay Shah and President Vishwanath Raju Datla were suspended in an iron cage intended to descend 20 feet onto a stage. However, two cables broke, causing the cage to fall and the men to crash onto the concrete floor, according to a report in The Times of India.
Sanjay, age 56, died at the hospital after the accident, according to reports. Vishwanath, 52, suffered a serious head injury and sadly died several months afterward.

In 2022, Orlando Bloom revealed in an Instagram video with UNICEF that he broke his back after falling three stories. When he was 19, he and some friends attempted to climb onto the roof of a building, but the drainpipe he was holding onto gave way. Luckily, he said, he survived with his spinal cord still intact, despite breaking several vertebrae.
It was truly shocking to hear him explain what happened. He shared that when he was hospitalized, doctors initially told him he might never walk again – those first four days were incredibly difficult. He said that was really the start of a long, painful process of realizing patterns in his life that had led to a series of accidents, ultimately culminating in a broken back and a near-death experience. It really put things into perspective hearing him talk about it.
After leaving the hospital wearing a back brace and dealing with a lot of physical and emotional pain, he immediately started going out and partying – still wearing the brace, he told GQ in 2005. It took a couple of months for him to understand this was his new reality, and he was determined not to waste it.
He said the experience completely changed his perspective on life. He realized he hadn’t fully appreciated things until he almost lost everything. He used to be reckless with motorbikes and cars, treating roads like a race track, but that was just his way of seeking thrills. Now, he’s much more relaxed and cautious.
