The Backrooms trailer puzzles us….

We first noticed the Backrooms with a mysterious poster back in February. The initial teaser trailer seemed simple, but the voiceover created a creepy atmosphere. Now, the full trailer is here, and it’s genuinely unsettling and impressive.

The Backrooms trailer synopsis…

The story’s description is minimal, only revealing that “a strange doorway appears in the basement of a furniture showroom.” It also includes the tagline, “You are not supposed to be here,” and then repeats the initial description of the doorway.

So who is involved with the film and what might it be about?

The idea of the Backrooms started on the online forum 4chan in 2019. It began with a single, eerie image of bare yellow rooms and a description of what happens if you accidentally glitch outside of reality. According to the original post, you’d find yourself in the Backrooms – a vast, unsettling place filled with the smell of damp carpet, overwhelmingly yellow walls, the constant buzz of fluorescent lights, and endless, empty rooms. The post warned that if you hear anything moving around, it likely means whatever’s there has already heard you.
