Where Bad Bunny goes, all eyes are on him.
As expected, the artist behind “Me Porto Bonito” made a striking impression at the 2026 Grammys in Los Angeles on February 1st. Hosted by Trevor Noah at Crypto.com Arena, the “DtMF” rapper chose a timeless look with a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture outfit. (Check out photos of all the stars on the red carpet here.)
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, is known for his stylish outfits and could win several awards at this year’s biggest music event.
He’s made history by becoming the first Spanish-language artist nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year at the same Grammy Awards ceremony. He’s also been nominated for Best Urban Music Album, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Album Cover.
Despite the recent success of his album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, the 31-year-old artist sees it as a way to reconnect with his beginnings, particularly while being away from his home in Puerto Rico.

Bad Bunny, who will be headlining the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show on February 8th, recently told i-D magazine he’d wanted to make a salsa album for a while. He’d always pictured doing it later in life—thinking maybe around age 40—but decided why wait? He already had the initial idea for the song “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” and a track called “NUEVAYoL” that included a salsa sample.
He explained that during that period, he was on tour with Nadie Sabe lo Que Va Pasar Mañana as part of the ‘Most Wanted Tour.’ He also spent time living in Los Angeles, around the time of the Coachella festival. He was filming Been Caught Stealing and working on Happy Gilmore 2, and this was the longest he’d ever been away from Puerto Rico. Being so far from home inspired him to explore his heritage and reconnect with his Puerto Rican identity.
