The popular poker roguelike game, Balatro, is now available on Nintendo Switch through the eShop for a limited-time price of $11.99. Publisher Playstack and developer LocalThunk made the announcement.
Balatro can be played on a variety of platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC (through Steam), and mobile devices like iOS and Android.
Here is an overview of the game, via Playstack:
Balatro is a captivating deckbuilding game that combines poker with roguelike elements. You’ll build increasingly powerful (and often outlandish) poker hands, discover special jokers that change the game, and create exciting, chain-reaction combos.
Mix and match standard poker hands with special Joker cards to create powerful combinations and strategies. Win enough chips to overcome increasingly difficult bets, and discover bonus hands and decks as you play. You’ll need every advantage you can get to reach the final challenge, defeat the boss, and claim victory.
