Ballerina Farm’s Hannah Neeleman Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 9

Hannah Neeleman is adding a new dancer to her farm.

The blogger behind Ballerina Farm has revealed she’s expecting her ninth child with her husband, Daniel Neeleman, in a new ad for her company’s Farmer’s Protein Powder.

In a new Instagram ad posted on February 25th, ballerina Hannah reveals she’s expecting a baby. She narrates, ‘People often associate ballerinas with elegance, grace, and poise, but not often enough with strength.’

You know, my life has been a beautiful transition. One minute I was completely immersed in the world of ballet, watching dancers grace the stage, and the next, I found myself surrounded by open fields and farmland. It’s funny how different those worlds are, but honestly, my years as a dancer really prepared me for motherhood. The discipline, the grace under pressure, even the constant need to adapt – it all translates surprisingly well to raising kids!

She explained that performing taught her resilience, and that inner strength, once gained, never fades. While the circumstances might change, the core strength remains constant, preparing her for whatever comes next.

Following her joyful announcement, Hannah shared more good news on Instagram, writing, “We’re thrilled about this little one!”

Hannah and Daniel recently welcomed a new baby to their family. This comes just over two years after Hannah gained attention online for competing in a beauty pageant only weeks after giving birth to their eighth child, Flora Jo, who is now two years old.

Just before competing in the 2024 Mrs. World pageant in Las Vegas, she told the New York Times, ‘I’m still spotting a little.’ She explained that many contestants are mothers, and she wasn’t embarrassed to show she’d recently given birth, saying, ‘I’m not going to have a perfect, flat stomach.’

The 35-year-old mother of eight – including Henry (13), Charles (11), George (10), Frances (8), Lois (6), Martha (4), Mabel (3), and Daniel – has defended her choices in the past, and doesn’t feel comfortable being called a “traditional wife.”

She explained in a 2024 interview with The Times that while her family setup—a husband, wife, and children—is traditional, they’re also doing things in a new and innovative way, and she doesn’t fully relate to labels that might suggest otherwise.

But Hannah emphasized that she and her family would shut down any concrete label.

You know, I’ve noticed something interesting. We all strive to just be ourselves, to live authentically, but people will always try to categorize you, to put you in a box. It’s just part of being human, really. For us, this is simply everyday life – navigating those expectations and staying true to who we are.

Hannah said she doesn’t plan when to have more children, leaving it up to fate or a higher power. She described it as something she prays about, rather than actively schedules.

She said she wondered if it was the right time to have another child, explaining, ‘I keep asking myself if now is the moment.’ She added that no one had ever discouraged her from having more children.
