Bank Bungle: Wells Fargo Refuses $60,000 Reimbursement, JPMorgan Chase Cracks Down on Zelle, and Bank of America Declares Customer DEAD!

Good heavens, dear readers! It seems the banking world has gone utterly haywire! 🤯

JPMorgan Chase Rolls Out Zelle Restrictions

Oh, the drama! JPMorgan Chase has launched new payment restrictions to stop those scoundrels from scamming us on Zelle. 🚫

Apparently, the bank has deemed it necessary to block payments from social media contacts, online marketplaces, and those dreadful social media messaging apps. One wonders, what’s next? Blocking payments from one’s own family members? 😂

And, darling, if you thought you were protected by JPMorgan’s purchase protection policy, think again! It’s all just a big game of banking roulette, isn’t it? 🎲

Wells Fargo Refuses To Reimburse $60,000 Theft

Good grief, Wells Fargo! How could you be so heartless? 🤕 A charitable organization, The Struggle of Love Foundation, lost a whopping $60,000 to a scammer posing as a Wells Fargo employee. And what’s the bank’s response? “Oh, you should have been more careful, dear!” 🙄

It’s simply outrageous! The organization’s executive director was tricked into transferring funds to a new account after receiving a suspicious message about unauthorized account activity. And now, Wells Fargo is denying the claim, saying the organization “actively participated” in the transaction. One wonders, did they also participate in a game of “Spot the Scammer”? 🎉

Bank of America Customer Battles Fatal Error

Ned Johnson, an 82-year-old gentleman, has been declared dead by Social Security, and his benefits have been halted. Oh, the humanity! 😱

And to make matters worse, Bank of America sent a condolence letter to his wife in February and began deducting Social Security benefits from his checking account as requested by the SSA. One can only imagine the poor man’s shock and dismay! 😳

As Ned so wisely says, “My advice would be, watch your bank account and be prepared to – if you get tagged with one of these issues – it’s going to take some time. And you just have to be patient and persistent if you expect to get anywhere.” Ah, the joys of banking, indeed! 😴
