Barbara Palvin Shares Health Update After Endometriosis Surgery

Barbara Palvin is ready to soar.

The supermodel is getting ready for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on October 15th and recently shared a health update. She had surgery four months ago for endometriosis, a condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus.

Barbara shared with TopMob News that her surgery in June made a huge difference. “It’s like night and day,” she said. “The change is incredible, but it’s clear there’s still a lot we don’t know about this.”

While the surgery—which typically involves removing endometriosis tissue and scar tissue—doesn’t offer a permanent fix, she highlighted that it can significantly improve symptoms.

Fortunately, the 32-year-old was able to rest after the procedure with her husband, Dylan Sprouse, 33, there to support her.

She said Dylan was a huge support and helped her get through everything during her recovery.

Barbara married former *Suite Life of Zack and Cody* star Cole Sprouse in 2023 and had previously explained why she chose to have surgery.

I’ve been struggling with difficult periods for a while now,” she shared on Instagram in August. “I’ve experienced exhaustion, intense pain, very heavy and unpredictable bleeding, and many nights spent in the bathroom feeling unwell. I just assumed this was normal for me.

Recently, my doctor suggested I see an endometriosis specialist to investigate the cause of my symptoms. I’ve been getting annual checkups with my gynecologist, and I always assumed they would have detected endometriosis if I had it. However, I learned that endometriosis often isn’t found during routine exams.

Just three months after seeing the specialist, she had the operation.

She explained that things have been much better recently, and she finally understands what a difference getting a diagnosis made. She encourages anyone who thinks they might have endometriosis to get checked out, as it was incredibly helpful for her and she’s glad she did.

The experience, she noted, has also made her “more mindful” about future health concerns.

I needed those past three months to rest and recover, which is why I took the time,” Barbara explained. “I’m really looking forward to this next phase and am now prepared to return to work.

As someone who’s always been open about the realities of life – and yes, even wrestling! – I wanted to share something personal. During a match in July 2025 against Piper Niven, I took a pretty hard elbow slam, and it actually caused one of my breast implants to shift. It’s definitely a reminder that even with all the training in the world, things can happen, and it’s important to be aware of your body.

She reassured her sister, Bella Garcia, that they would get the issue resolved eventually. She explained to the doctor that as soon as her career was over, she’d return to address the problem and ensure everything looked its best, because she anticipated future activity and didn’t want it to appear neglected.

Lupita Nyong’o, known for her role in *12 Years a Slave*, received a diagnosis of uterine fibroids—non-cancerous growths in or around the uterus—in 2014, the same year she won an Academy Award for her performance in the film.

She didn’t reveal her diagnosis until 2025, when she shared on Instagram that she had been privately struggling with it for over ten years.

She explained that growing up, many girls are taught to accept period pain as a normal part of womanhood. This often leaves them dealing with a common issue in silence and feeling isolated.

In July 2025, the actress from *Daisy Jones & The Six* revealed she’d been hospitalized for a hernia. This happened because she’d been wearing pants that were too tight, causing a gap in her abdominal muscles.

Someone messaged Suki on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, asking why she hadn’t posted recently. The message jokingly explained the silence by saying the sender had suffered a hernia six months prior due to wearing very tight pants, and was afraid to mention it.

The former star of *Beverly Hills, 90210* shared in April 2025 that he was recovering from surgery because his appendix was close to rupturing.

Brian shared in an Instagram video that he recently experienced stomach pain which led him to the emergency room. He discovered he had a perforated appendix – it hadn’t fully burst, but was very close to doing so.

He added, “I’m on the road to recovery. It’s not an easy process. This is my first major surgery.”

During a soccer game against the Seattle Reign on September 14th at Lumen Field in Seattle, a midfielder for Racing Louisville collapsed after only a few minutes of play.

According to Reuters, the U.S. Women’s National Team player was seen slowly sitting down on the field with a teammate supporting her, just before she collapsed. Trainers were immediately called to assess her condition.

After receiving initial medical attention on the field, Savannah was taken to a nearby hospital for more tests, according to a statement from the National Women’s Soccer League. They reported that she is currently in stable condition and is alert.

Adam Devine revealed that injuries from being hit by a cement truck as a child continue to cause him problems even now.

“It’s been incredibly difficult,” Devine shared on the *In Depth With Graham Bensinger* podcast in 2025. “I experience spasms throughout my body, and doctors recently told me I was facing a life-threatening situation—within the past year, actually.”

He explained that his pain is intermittent, saying, “My body has a few quirks and isn’t quite perfect.”

A former contestant on The Bachelor went to the hospital in extreme pain, literally crawling because of a severe back issue that flared up during a road trip with a friend.

He described a persistent tingling sensation, saying, ‘Even now, bringing my knees to my chest, it still feels tingly, which is really strange.’ He explained that just a few weeks or a month ago, he was squatting nearly 300 pounds, but now he can’t even do a basic squat or stand on one leg without falling. He compared the feeling to having a stroke.

But with the help of a back specialist and some steroids, he added, “We’re on the mend.”

Gina Kirschenheiter, from *The Real Housewives of Orange County*, revealed that her ex-husband, Matt Kirschenheiter, had a heart attack in March 2025, but he is recovering well.

In March 2025, the actor from *30 Rock* experienced a medical issue at a New York Knicks game and had to be taken out of Madison Square Garden in a wheelchair.

In February 2025, the former *Even Stevens* star revealed she was accidentally shot in the face while on a birthday outing with her husband, Brendan Rooney. They were clay pigeon shooting at the time.

In an Instagram post, she explained that she was accidentally shot in the face by someone at a party who fired a gun unsafely. Thankfully, @thebrendanrooney quickly helped, checked her over, and took her to the hospital. She was hit five times, and one bullet came dangerously close to her right eye – less than an inch away.

The former *Kim Possible* star explained that a small piece of something got stuck behind their eye. Doctors have advised against removing it with surgery right now, but they’ll keep monitoring the situation. Thankfully, their vision is currently normal.

Amy Schumer is grateful for the internet, even though it can be harsh, because it helped her discover a health issue. After noticing she looked “puffier,” Schumer was surprised to see doctors commenting on her appearance online. They suggested she might have Cushing syndrome, potentially caused by steroid injections. This prompted Schumer to realize she *had* been receiving steroid injections after a breast reduction and C-section. Without the online attention, she might never have connected the injections to her symptoms and received a diagnosis. Thankfully, doctors determined her condition was a type of Cushing syndrome that would resolve on its own, which Schumer described as “the greatest news imaginable.”

During a December 2024 game, an AHL player was accidentally cut in the face by another player’s skate and needed 25 stitches to close the wound. After his son made a full recovery, New Jersey Devils General Manager Tom Fitzgerald shared with ESPN how relieved they were, saying, “We feel very fortunate, and I wouldn’t want any parent to go through that.”

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe what happened to Hailey! I was so worried when I heard! She was just having breakfast with Justin in March 2022, and suddenly she started feeling
weird. She said Justin asked if she was okay, but she couldn’t even *respond*. Then, when she tried to speak, she just
couldn’t! Her face started drooping on one side, and she couldn’t get any words out. It was terrifying! Thankfully, it stopped, but she went to the hospital, which she absolutely should have. They did scans and found out she’d had a tiny blood clot go to her brain – they called it a TIA. But that wasn’t even the whole story! Turns out she has a small hole in her heart, a PFO, and that’s how the clot got to her brain – it went *through* the hole! She had a procedure to close it, and she said it went really well. I’m SO relieved she’s feeling better now. It was such a scary thing to happen, but she’s so strong and I’m just glad she’s okay!

The same year Hailey faced a health issue, Justin also experienced one. In June 2022, he revealed he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused temporary paralysis on one side of his face. This forced him to cancel the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour.

In a video posted to Instagram, Justin explained the condition affected the nerves in his ear and face, preventing him from blinking, smiling, or moving his nostril on the affected side. He also shared that it had become increasingly difficult for him to eat.

Fortunately, the paralysis eventually went away. Hailey later told viewers of *Good Morning America* that Justin was recovering well and feeling much better, describing the situation as scary but assuring everyone that he would be okay.

Jamie Foxx recently shared details about the health scare he experienced in April 2023, which he had previously kept private. In his 2024 Netflix special, *What Had Happened Was…*, he explained that he suffered a severe headache one day while in Atlanta. Before he could even take an aspirin, he lost consciousness and doesn’t remember the next 20 days.

Initially, a doctor gave him a cortisone shot and sent him home, but his sister, Deidra Dixon, was worried and took him to the hospital. Doctors discovered he had a brain bleed that caused a stroke.

After surgery, Jamie woke up in a wheelchair on May 4th, unable to walk. He then went to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy. He expressed his gratitude for the prayers he received, saying, “I needed every prayer.”

The reality TV star shared that she briefly stopped breathing while running a mile during the first challenge on the NBC competition show.

She shared on the show *Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser* that her memory of the event was fragmented. She recalled hearing a helicopter, feeling like she was floating, and then seeing her grandfather before everything went dark. After that, she saw light, which led her to realize she had died that day.

She explained that her organs were failing. She hadn’t known she had rhabdomyolysis, a condition where the body essentially begins to shut down.

Emilia Clarke, known for her role in *Game of Thrones*, revealed a harrowing health battle in a 2019 essay for *The New Yorker*. While filming the show, she experienced a severe headache at the gym, followed by intense pain and vomiting. She quickly realized something was seriously wrong, suspecting brain damage.

A hospital scan revealed she had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage – a life-threatening stroke caused by bleeding around the brain – resulting from a ruptured aneurysm. She underwent immediate surgery to repair it, describing the pain as excruciating. During her recovery, she experienced aphasia, struggling to speak coherently.

Though the aphasia eventually passed and she was discharged after a month, a 2013 scan revealed the aneurysm had doubled in size, requiring a second surgery. This procedure initially failed, causing a massive bleed and putting her life at risk. Doctors had to perform a more invasive surgery, accessing her brain directly through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia reports she has now made a full recovery and is at 100%.

Cori Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s daughter, recently shared how much she appreciates her family’s support after experiencing a stroke in January 2024. She immediately contacted them, sending a text and a picture, and they quickly came to her aid, as she told Will Marfuggi of TopMob News in December 2024. While she could have been discharged after the stroke, other health issues, including lupus and kidney problems, required a longer hospital stay. Cori is now recovering well, saying she’s “doing great” and has been working to regain some motor skills. She’s thankful for her family’s help during a challenging time.

Shailene Woodley struggled with serious health issues throughout her 20s. In a September 2024 podcast interview, she explained that she experienced hearing loss, extreme fatigue, and digestive problems. She saw many doctors but received conflicting diagnoses.

Because of her background in holistic medicine and herbalism, Shailene sought answers from both traditional doctors and alternative healers, hoping to find relief and understand what was happening to her body.

This health journey lasted for ten years. She explained that the physical discomfort led to anxiety around food and eventually issues with body image and identity.

Fortunately, after years of focusing on both her physical and mental wellbeing, Shailene is now healthy and happy. She shared that her health issues have resolved themselves and she feels good.
