Battlefield 6 Battle Royale Release Date Leaked (And It’s Soon)

The battle royale mode for the upcoming *Battlefield 6* might arrive earlier than expected. This new installment is seen as a potential turning point for the *Battlefield* series, which struggled after the disappointing launch of *Battlefield 2042*. That game had major problems and didn’t resonate with fans, despite some interesting ideas like larger player counts. Following the issues with *Battlefield 2042*, EA restructured the development team, bringing in Vince Zampella – known for his work on *Call of Duty* and *Titanfall* – to lead the *Battlefield* franchise and adding more studios to help with development.

It looks like the investment in the next *Battlefield* game is already showing positive results, with the game promising a huge amount of content when it launches. Players can expect a battle royale mode, a full campaign, classic multiplayer battles, and a unique ‘Portal’ feature allowing for custom maps and game types – meaning there’s something for everyone. EA is clearly committed to reaching a broad audience with this title. However, the developers at Battlefield Studios haven’t shared many details about the battle royale mode yet.

Battlefield 6‘s Battle Royale Reportedly Releases Next Month

We learned more about the battle royale mode for *Battlefield 6* last week, before a limited playtest began. Some gameplay footage also appeared online, giving us a glimpse of what makes this battle royale different. While the developers haven’t officially announced a release date, a recent leak from the gaming news account ModernWarzone suggests it will launch on October 28th – just a few weeks after the main *Battlefield 6* game.

Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale mode is currently scheduled to become available on October 28th, just 18 days after the main game launches. Keep in mind that this date isn’t set in stone, as the Battle Royale is still being tested, but it’s the current plan according to the latest information.

We don’t yet know if the *Battlefield 6* battle royale mode will be free to play, but it would be surprising if you needed to purchase the entire game to access it. Free-to-play has been key to the success of battle royale games, allowing a wider audience to participate. While developers typically earn revenue through in-game purchases like cosmetic items, *Battlefield 6* seems to be avoiding overly flashy designs. This could mean players might be less inclined to spend money on in-game items, even if the mode is free to play.
