Battlefield 6 Demolishes Series Records, Sells Over 7 Million Copies in First Three Days

As was perhaps expected, Battlefield 6 has been a barnstorming success.

Thanks to a major marketing campaign by EA, the new first-person shooter has become the most successful launch in the series’ history, with record-breaking sales during its opening weekend.

Most notably, Battlefield 6 has sold over 7 million copies in its first three days on sale.

The game has broken player count records and, in its first weekend alone, saw over 172 million multiplayer matches played and more than 15 million hours of gameplay streamed.

The game features a solo campaign, a variety of multiplayer options, and Portal, a creative mode where players can design and share their own maps and game types.

The game is proving to be a major success, and early signs have now been confirmed. It’s performing exceptionally well.

We want to start by thanking our players,” says Byron Beede, General Manager of Battlefield. “Battlefield 6 was truly made with our fans in mind. We listened closely to player feedback throughout the entire process – from the first ideas to features like Battlefield Labs and the hugely successful Open Beta. We shared a single goal with our community: to create the best Battlefield game possible. And we’re not stopping here – the first season of new content arrives in just 12 days!”

As a huge Battlefield fan, it was awesome to hear from Vince Zampella after the launch! He basically said how thankful the whole team is for all the support from both the people at Battlefield Studios and us, the community. He really emphasized that they don’t take our support for granted and hinted that the first update for Battlefield 6 is already coming soon, which is super exciting!

The first season starts on October 28th, introducing a new map called Blackwell Fields and a new 4v4 game mode, Rogue Ops.
