While fans are enjoying the new *Battlefield 6*, they feel it’s missing some of the details that made older games great. Despite this, *Battlefield 6* is a huge success and is expected to be one of the biggest games this fall. It sold 7 million copies in its first weekend, and sales have likely continued to rise as more people hear about it. The developers also have big plans for the future, with Season 1 launching this month. Throughout the rest of the year, they’ll be adding new maps, game modes, and weapons, which should attract even more players.
Players are actively discussing the strengths and weaknesses of the game. A common concern is that the maps feel too cramped, which doesn’t live up to Battlefield’s reputation for large-scale battles involving vehicles like jets and tanks. While the current game still offers some of that epic feel, fans are optimistic that future updates and content will improve the experience. The developers are listening to player feedback and have even hinted at upcoming vehicles and features.
Battlefield 6 Fans Want to See Dynamic Weather, Bollards, and More Return
Reddit user Rainy55 has shared a list of features they’d like to see in the next *Battlefield* game. These suggestions range from small details to larger changes that would take more work. For example, they want the return of bollards from *Battlefield 4*, which would add a tactical element for vehicle drivers, forcing them to navigate carefully during fights or find alternate routes. They also propose adding elevators as a more realistic and engaging alternative to the current ziplines.
This needs to be returned to the Battlefield.

Beyond that, the team proposed adding changing weather and times of day to *Battlefield 6*. While past games featured weather effects like rain and sandstorms, these were usually pre-set events. Dynamic weather would make the game more unpredictable and offer new ways to play each map. They also considered adding secret routes, such as sewers or tunnels, to let players flank opponents and add more levels to the environments.
Besides this user’s comment, many players want to see dynamic map changes – like those in previous *Battlefield* games – return in *Battlefield 6*. While the current game has some environmental interaction with the crane in Mirak Valley, it’s not as dramatic as seeing buildings collapse in Siege of Shanghai or entire maps flood in Flood Zone. The developers are aware of this feedback and have hinted that these kinds of large-scale map events might be coming back in future updates.
