Battlefield 6 Features a New “Flick Look” for Instant 180-Degree Turns

The upcoming mainline title in the Battlefield series by Electronic Arts, which broke records as the largest beta ever with over 200,000 players on Steam, is poised for success. Yet, it’s not without its flaws, as some criticisms have emerged regarding the map design, weapon class restrictions, and other aspects. However, a new feature seems to have sparked divided opinions among fans.

According to a tweet by The Tactical Brit, there’s a novel control feature called Flick Look now available. This function lets players swiftly change their aim direction by flicking, covering an 180-degree range, which can be particularly useful for responding quickly to surprise attacks. However, this convenience might also be a drawback, as it potentially eliminates the need for precise aiming skills in flicking movements.

For console users, this feature is a considerable advantage, particularly when competing against PC players. However, some argue that it doesn’t quite fit in a strategic shooter game like Battlefield. Others find it acceptable but believe its speed needs to be slowed down a bit.

It is yet unknown if DICE will address this issue before the release of Battlefield 6 on October 10th. Keep an eye out for updates. The beta concludes today but will resume again on August 14th across all platforms, running until August 17th.
