Electronic Arts has revealed some of the post-launch content players can expect in Battlefield 6, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This content is designed to keep players engaged after the initial release.
Starting October 28th, just over two weeks after launch, the first wave of content for Season 1 will be released. The full season is divided into three parts, with updates arriving next week, November 18th, and December 9th.
Starting October 28th, a new map called Blackwell Fields and a new 4v4 game mode, Strikepoint, will be available. Check out the gameplay trailer above for a sneak peek!

Okay, so in Strikepoint, you only get one life per round, which makes things super intense! You really have to play smart, stay with your team, and always be on the lookout for enemies trying to sneak up on you. We win a round by either capturing the objective or wiping out the other team, and the first team to win six rounds wins the whole match. Honestly, this mode is pretty challenging, but if you’re a tactical player who likes a good strategy and can communicate well with your squad, you’re gonna love it. It’s all about teamwork to get the win!
A new map, game mode, and vehicle are being added, along with three new guns—the SOR-300SC, GGH-22, and Mini Scout—and a variety of new attachments. Everything will be available starting October 28th.
On November 18th, the second update for Season 1 will add new maps and game modes. The new map is called Eastwood, and the limited-time mode is Sabotage. Sabotage is an 8v8 mode where teams take turns trying to destroy or protect equipment boxes on a small map. The team that destroys the most equipment wins.
Season 1 ends with a final update introducing a special, limited-time map called Ice Lock Empire State. On this map, you can play a new limited-time game mode called Ice Lock. All of this content is available at no cost.
Here are some screenshots of the new maps:
These updates are designed to make an already excellent multiplayer game from Battlefield Studios even better, and position it as a top contender of 2025. A Battle Pass is also planned for Season 1, though details weren’t shared today.
