Battlefield 6 Gets New Trailer Showcasing PC Features

In a fresh update, Electronic Arts unveiled a new preview for Battlefield 6, placing emphasis on the specifics of its PC edition. The clip, available for viewing below, underscores several key aspects, such as compatibility with 4K resolution, unlimited frame rates, and the ability to operate on ultrawide monitors.

As a gamer, I’m thrilled about the confirmation that Battlefield 6 will leverage advanced hardware technologies like Nvidia’s DLSS 4, AMD’s FSR 4, and Intel’s XeSS 2. Plus, PC gamers can look forward to over 600 customization options tailoring our gaming experience, ranging from fine-tuning HDR settings and HUD scaling to adjusting camera settings, all the way to a streamer mode that protects other players’ identities.

Additionally, the trailer showcased Electronic Arts’ Javelin Anti-Cheat system, which will strengthen the detection and prevention of cheating in Battlefield 6. Specifically tailored for this game, the Javelin system incorporates specialized adjustments designed to identify and thwart cheats and hacks specific to first-person shooter (FPS) games.

As a gamer, I was thrilled to get a sneak peek at the upcoming updates for Portal. Not only did we get to see some gameplay, but they showed us a glimpse of the creator tools they’re working on. These tools include Spatial Editing and AI scripting, which will empower players like me to design our own gaming experiences. On top of that, the Portal Builder Tool will even let us write custom UI scripts, enabling us to create entirely new interfaces for a truly unique gaming experience.

In addition to hosting user-generated content, Portal in Battlefield 6 will serve as a platform for the game’s server browser. This means players can effortlessly discover matches tailored to their preferences and specifications, such as Hardcode Mode or Closed Weapon Loadouts. Furthermore, Portal will offer Verified Community Experiences, ensuring players can continuously leverage the full range of advancement systems that Battlefield 6 provides.

It was announced earlier this month that Electronic Arts has set the basic and suggested hardware requirements for Battlefield 6. The game is designed to offer a lot of compatibility with even lower-end systems, starting from AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400 CPUs at the minimum, up to an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPUs. As for the graphics cards, options range from the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380 at the minimum, all the way to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc B580.

EA has announced that they are reopening playtests for Battlefield Labs, allowing participants to sign up once more. This round of testing will not only focus on game balance and gameplay mechanics, but also on improving the User Interface (UI) clarity and overall User Experience (UX) for the Portal feature. Additionally, two new maps will be introduced for this playtest, aiming to test the game balance in combined arms games where both infantry and vehicles play significant roles.

The release of Battlefield 6 has been scheduled for October 10 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. In the interim, explore the impact that the recent open beta’s success has had on Electronic Arts (EA) and their stock prices.
