A new update for Battlefield 6 is arriving on January 20th at 1 AM PDT to make gameplay smoother. Update 1.1.3.5 focuses on improving how quickly and reliably melee attacks register, whether you’re using a knife or a sledgehammer. Now, sprinting won’t be stopped mid-run unless your melee attack actually hits an enemy.
Jet cannons were dealing a bit too much damage, so we’ve adjusted them to require 40% more hits to destroy enemy aircraft, bringing things more in line. We’ve also refined how bipod attachments work – they’ll only improve hip-fire accuracy when actively used. Additionally, the RPKM’s iron sights now aim correctly with the short barrel, the TR-7 Light Barrel no longer boosts bullet speed, and recoil should feel more consistent for players using a controller.
We’ve also made several improvements to the user interface and heads-up display for both multiplayer and RedSec, along with fixes for the Assault Ladder. You can find a complete list of changes in the patch notes below.
This update responds to player feedback, particularly recent criticism, and is why Season 2 was delayed. Season 1 will now be extended with new rewards available through a new Path. You can find more information here.
