Close Range: PW7A2 SMG and M87A1 Shotgun

If you’re fighting at close range and can clearly see your enemy’s eyes, the M87A1 is a great early choice. It can take down an opponent with a single shot and is easier to control than many other similar weapons.

Want a weapon with a high rate of fire? The PW7A2 shoots incredibly fast – 947 rounds per minute – making it dangerous up close, but still manageable at medium range.

Medium Range: NVO-228E

As a player, I was so hyped to unlock the M4A1 so early – level 2 is amazing! It’s a really solid, all-around assault rifle that honestly helps you out a ton in pretty much any situation.

However, the NVO-228E is even better. It’s a powerful rifle you unlock by getting 300 kills with the KORD 6P67 and B36A4, plus 100 long-range kills (over 50 meters). You’ll earn it faster than you think, and it’s definitely worth the effort.

Long Range: M2010 ESR

Surprisingly, the starting sniper rifle in the game is still incredibly powerful for both taking out enemies and defending against snipers.

While it would be great if it held more than five rounds, and loading each shot takes a little while, this is still a truly excellent rifle.

Play the Objective

Battlefield 6 is different from many other shooting games because simply getting kills isn’t the main focus. While eliminating opponents is helpful, truly supporting your team means focusing on the objectives of the game.

It’s tempting to focus on getting the most kills, but remember to support your team. Sometimes, helping to capture or defend an objective is more valuable than just chasing kills.

Play your Class

Battlefield 6 rewards players for fulfilling their chosen class roles. Assault players earn more experience by capturing objectives, and Engineers gain XP by repairing allies’ vehicles and taking out enemy vehicles.

When you choose a class, remember that Support players focus on providing supplies like ammunition, and Recon players earn points by finding and identifying enemies. Keep this in mind when you start a new game as any of the four classes.

Spot everything!

It’s helpful to regularly identify enemies for your team, even if you’re not playing as a Recon character. Making this a habit is a good strategy.

You can also appear right next to a teammate, which gives them extra experience points. If you’re the only one left on your team, try to find a safe place so they can respawn with you.

Don’t instantly respawn

We’ve all experienced that moment in a game – getting knocked down and immediately wanting to respawn and get back at the person who defeated us.

Hold on! Before you respawn, see if a teammate can revive you – it’s likely if you’ve been playing as a team. This avoids a long walk back to the start and, more importantly, saves a valuable team reinforcement.

Don’t underestimate the Underbarrel

In Battlefield 6, attachments you add under the barrel of your weapon are really important because the guns have more kick than in many other similar games.

Adding a better grip to your weapon can drastically improve your accuracy, helping you hit your targets instead of missing completely.
