The latest update for Battlefield 6, called California Resistance, has been released with many changes. However, the update also introduced some issues and bugs.
Okay, so the biggest problem right now, as a lot of players are saying, is with the defibrillators. It looks like the latest patch messed up where you actually click to use them – the hitboxes are off, making them really hard to activate when you need them!
Because of this problem, it became difficult to help teammates who had been knocked down, as many attempts to revive them weren’t working. Luckily, Battlefield Studios quickly fixed the issue by changing the game back to how it was before the update.

So, they dropped an update, but there’s also something happening behind the scenes that not many people know about. Basically, if you take down a bot, it won’t affect your Kill/Death ratio anymore when you check your stats. It’s kinda interesting, and I noticed it while looking at my profile!
Battlefield Bulletin reports that kills earned against bots no longer count towards your Kill/Death ratio. This change aims to provide more accurate and fair player statistics.
I just checked my stats in the game, and wow, my K/D ratio took a pretty big hit! Apparently, a lot of the kills I had were against bots, which explains the drop. It’s a bit of a reality check, honestly!
Backend Update Will Now Show Your Actual K/D Ratio as It Removed Bot Kills
Former professional player Otto Borstrom, known as ottr on X (previously Twitter), shared his updated statistics after the recent changes.
Battlefield 6 Stats NO LONGER COUNT BOT KILLS, exposing a lot of players out there!

Okay, so this is crazy! His kill count absolutely plummeted – he went from 88,838 kills down to just 24,227. That totally wrecked his K/D ratio, dropping it from a massive 92.950 all the way down to 3.814. It’s a huge difference!
This change aims to discourage players who artificially boost their kill/death ratio by primarily killing bots. Since K/D can be easily manipulated, this is a positive step towards ensuring it accurately represents a player’s skill against real opponents.
It’s good to know Battlefield 6 stopped giving points for killing bots, but you’ll still be counted as dying if a bot defeats you.

Getting repeatedly killed by other players using automated programs can significantly lower your K/D ratio.
Battlefield Studios hasn’t officially confirmed this yet, although they have announced other updates to the game.
This seems to be Battlefield Studios’ first step in tackling bot farming, but it’s still unclear when they’ll fix the problem of players being killed by bots.
