The pre-loading for the open beta of EA’s Battlefield 6 can now be done across all platforms, before it officially starts this weekend. However, early access won’t begin until August 7th; access will be granted to everyone from August 9th to 10th. Even so, the beta has attracted more than 9,000 simultaneous players on Steam at its peak.
At this moment, SteamDB records a record-breaking number of 9,463 concurrent players, which is remarkable given that Battlefield 2042’s 24-hour peak reached 11,245. This suggests the anticipation for the sequel (with third place on the global top 100 sellers list not being enough evidence), as many players are already logging in early to customize their settings.
During your time in the lobby, you’re also able to converse with fellow players. However, adjusting settings like optimizing performance, remapping controls, and more beforehand might be even more crucial. But rest assured, as the first beta weekend nears, player numbers are expected to grow significantly.
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
