With Battlefield 6 now available for pre-order, Electronic Arts (EA) is gearing up not only for the game’s release on October 10 but also for two beta tests scheduled this month. Additionally, EA has disclosed the PC version’s hardware requirements for the upcoming shooter. There are three sets of hardware specifications provided, starting from the minimum hardware necessary to run the game at 1080p resolution with 30 frames per second (FPS), moving on to recommended hardware for playing at 1440p resolution and 60 FPS with high settings.
To play the game with the Low preset, you’ll need a CPU such as the AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel Core i5-8400, 16 GB of RAM running at 2133 MHz, and a graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380.
To achieve a smooth gameplay experience with high graphics settings and 60 frames per second (FPS), Electronic Arts (EA) advises using an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, or Intel Arc B580 graphics card, and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 3,200 MHz. It’s worth mentioning that the same hardware can also be used to run the game at a lower resolution like 1080p with reduced graphics settings for more stable framerates, maintaining 60 FPS or even surpassing it, as suggested by EA.
For storage needs, Battlefield 6 calls for approximately 75 GB of disk space. Nevertheless, the minimum system requirements only stipulate a regular hard drive. Despite this, it’s worth noting that faster Solid State Drives (SSDs) are likely to deliver superior performance.
Attentive readers will spot that the Performance specifications are quite similar to the suggested specifications. This suggests that Electronic Arts recommends players to ensure their hardware can sustain a frame rate of 60 FPS, given the rapid and intense nature of multiplayer combat in Battlefield 6.
