While Battlefield 6 is doing well, Electronic Arts is also focusing on Battlefield: RedSec, a new free-to-play battle royale game. It’s now available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, and the launch trailer is generating a lot of excitement. You can watch it below.
The game takes place on a new California map where players team up and try to uncover the mysteries of Fort Lyndon. Just like in other battle royale games, you’ll face opposition from other teams trying to stop you.
Despite the large-scale destruction – something the multiplayer in Battlefield 6 seemed to lack – the core gameplay remains familiar. Players still select from different Classes, like the Support role shown reviving a teammate. A variety of vehicles are available, including tanks, helicopters, and even a surprisingly fun golf cart.
But there’s much more to enjoy, including a deadly ring and a new mode called Gauntlet. Gauntlet is a fast-paced elimination challenge where teams compete to finish objectives. Plus, RedSec players get free access to Portal, letting them build incredibly creative and unique experiences – like sky-high golf cart races!
We’ll be sharing more information about Battlefield: RedSec soon, so keep an eye out for updates. You can read our review of the original Battlefield game here.
