Get ready for more lifeguards! Fox’s reboot of Baywatch has added two new cast members who will join Hobie Buchannon, the son of the original Mitch Buchannon (played by David Hasselhoff). Along with Stephen Amell and Jessica Belkin, these new additions promise to deliver the show’s signature slow-motion running and dramatic water rescues, all updated for a modern audience. This new version aims to capture the spirit of the classic ’80s and ’90s action series.
I’m really excited about the new Baywatch series! It sounds like they’re blending some familiar faces with a fresh crew of lifeguards. The latest news is that Hassie Harrison and Thaddeus LaGrone are joining the cast, and I’m particularly intrigued by Harrison’s character, Nat. She’s got a really compelling backstory – a former foster kid who became an Olympic athlete! Apparently, Nat is this incredibly skilled and dedicated lifeguard, basically the best of the best. She’s super loyal and works closely with Hobie, but she also has really high expectations for everyone, which could create some interesting drama both at work and in her personal life. I’m already hooked!
Nat will likely be a frequent presence in the new Baywatch series, as she’s Hobie’s closest confidante. Hobie, played by Stephen Amell, is taking on the role of a lifeguard captain, just like his father. The show’s main storyline revolves around Hobie unexpectedly learning he has a daughter, Charlie (Jessica Belkin), who wants to become a lifeguard too. Because Hobie and Nat are such good friends, he’ll probably rely on her for support as he navigates this new family situation.

Kelly Harrison is a well-known actress, having played Laramie on the popular series Yellowstone for three seasons. She’s also appeared as Lucy McConky in Tacoma FD and will star as Zephyr in the upcoming 2025 horror film Dangerous Animals, with roles in the Western thriller The Rescue and the new film Deep Eddy also on the way. In contrast, fellow Baywatch newcomer, LaGrone, is just starting out in his acting career, and his role as a series regular on a Fox drama is expected to be a major step forward.
This is a developing story…
