
According to the announcement, a stunning group of new presenters will be joining the regular rotation for Friday Early Breakfast shows on BBC Radio 1 starting this fall. Additionally, these changes will also include updates to the station’s Life Hacks segment during the same season.
It has been confirmed that Beth Wallace, Jack Remmington, and Ash Holme will be the new team of hosts for Fridays from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. in the near future.
As a devoted movie buff within the vibrant Radio 1 family, I’ll be taking the lead in September, starting a fresh rotation. Beyond Radio 1, I can also be found hosting a show on Forth 1, based right here in Scotland. Last year, I was honored to be nominated for the prestigious title of Best New Presenter at the 2025 ARIAS.
Wallace expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “I’m really looking forward to joining the Radio 1 team for the upcoming weeks! Radio 1 has always been a station I cherish, and I can’t wait to help set the weekend tone with my shows. Expect plenty of laughter, positive energy, and enjoyable times ahead!
In October, the comedic duo Jack Remmington and Ash Holme will be gracing us with their presence, famed for their riotously funny content on various social media platforms. With a whopping 2 million followers to his name, Ash Holme has also been a guest on this year’s Love Island: Aftersun panel.
Remington is recognized for his insights into popular culture, emceeing red carpet events, and his involvement in the podcast titled “Famously… In Love.
The pair expressed their enthusiasm by saying, “We can’t wait to return to BBC Radio 1! Starting now until October, join us every Friday to kickstart your mornings with our energetic and chaotic music. Tune in to experience the fun!
During Shanequa Paris’ maternity break, Charley Marlowe and Lina Nielson will temporarily step in as co-hosts for Radio 1’s Life Hacks. Marlowe will take the helm starting in September, while Nielson will join him in October.
The pair will also co-host The Official Chart: First Look alongside Lauren Layfield.

Nielsen expressed his excitement for working with Radio 1 and the Life Hacks team during October. Previously, he had enjoyed being a guest on their show before the Olympics, and he looks forward to regularly connecting with them live on air in this new role.
