The cooking adventure game Beastro is coming to PlayStation 5 in spring 2026, joining the already planned releases for Xbox Series and PC (on Steam and the Microsoft Store). Timberline Studio, the game’s developer, just announced the PlayStation 5 version. Beastro will also be available through Xbox Game Pass, and a demo is currently available on PC via Steam.
Here is an overview of the game, via Timberline Games:
About
Welcome to Beastro! This delightful story blends fantasy and adventure, but it’s not your typical hero’s tale. Here, some heroes use a spoon instead of a sword, and saving the world might just begin with a fantastic meal.
Palo Pori is a lovely, quiet village known for its skilled craftspeople and those with refined tastes. But beyond the village walls, danger is growing. Hungry monsters now roam the land, and they threaten to destroy the last place of peace and joy.
You play as Panko, a promising young chef who helps manage a neighborhood restaurant. When Panko’s mentor disappears, a stranger arrives with a warning about threats lurking outside the town walls. Panko must rise to the occasion, taking charge of the restaurant, its ingredients, and its customers. He also gets the unique job of cooking for the Caretakers – courageous heroes on a quest to save the world! This game shows that keeping the peace can start with something as simple as a good meal.
From Town to Table
At Palo Pori, we believe in fresh, local ingredients! Collect resources, raise animals, and grow your own fruits and vegetables to create a charming farm-to-table restaurant. Discover wild herbs and unlock new seeds to expand your menu and build the restaurant of your dreams.
Serving Your Community
Create delicious meals through fun, fast-paced mini-games and serve them to the people in town! The better your cooking and the more creative you get with ingredients, the happier your customers will be.
I’m really excited about this restaurant game! You get to build a place that locals will love by figuring out what kind of food they want. Plus, you’re always creating new dishes and learning new skills – almost like leveling up! And of course, you can design the restaurant to make it look amazing and attract even more customers. It sounds like a lot of fun!
Feed the Caretakers
You’ll need to keep the Caretakers well-fed! These courageous heroes protect the land from dangerous monsters threatening Palo Pori. Each Caretaker comes from a different region and has unique tastes – some prefer bitter foods, others sweet, and some just want whatever satisfies their current craving. Creating balanced and delicious meals will lift their spirits, improve their skills, and help them unlock new powers. After all, it’s hard to save the world when you’re hungry!
Delicious Deck Building
It’s time to see how your meal performs! This game combines cooking with strategy. Each dish you create adds a new card to your deck, and after eating, your characters will explore and battle monsters. They’ll then share their adventures through a delightful puppet show, and might even bring back unique monster ingredients! Battles are turn-based and use deck-building, drawing inspiration from classic card games. You win by either matching the monsters’ magical ‘flavors’ or countering them with balancing cards, and you can boost your attacks with enhancing cards – your magical skills can really turn the tide!
Okay, so in this game, each ingredient I use has a cool, special effect – I can put enemies to sleep, even blast their cards away! But here’s the thing: my opponents have abilities too, so I really need to stay focused. If I’m not careful, they’ll totally turn the tables on me!
Get ready for a fantastical adventure centered around food! It’s time to celebrate peas – are you prepared to start cooking?
Unlock the magic in food.
