Beatles Movie Set Photos Unveil The Beatlemania Era When Paul, John, Ringo, & George Took The World By Storm

A new film about The Beatles, titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, is currently being made. Recent photos from the set show how the movie portrays the peak of the band’s popularity during Beatlemania. Directed by Sam Mendes, the film features Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison.

Following the release of initial promotional pictures earlier this week, the Daily Express has published photos from the Beatles movie set in London, featuring actors Paul Mescal and Joe Quinn. The pictures reveal that London has been made to look like New York City in 1964, recreating the Beatles’ famous arrival at the Plaza Hotel.

You can see photos at the link below of Paul and George being guided through a big crowd by police officers. Some pictures show Mescal looking at the fans cheering, and another shows Quinn surrounded by police as he interacts with them. The last photo appears to be taken after a close encounter with a fan, and shows Mescal without the right sleeve of his coat.

On February 7, 1964, The Beatles landed at JFK airport and then checked into the Plaza Hotel. This trip to the U.S., following their rise to fame in the UK, kicked off the frenzy known as Beatlemania in America.

The band’s appearance on the Ed Sullivan show on February 9th sparked a huge surge in popularity across North America, launching what became known as Beatlemania. This intense period of constant media coverage and overwhelming fan attention is sure to be a key part of any future films about the band.

In April 2028, all four Beatles movies will be shown in cinemas, which is a really unusual way to release films. It’s hard to predict how successful they’ll be, but it’s definitely a bold move.

Filming began last November and should be completed in about a year for all four movies. Together, these films will tell the story of the Beatles’ early success in the 1960s, with each film concentrating on the life of a different band member.

The film appears to chronicle the Beatles’ journey, culminating in their final performance together in 1969. Initial photos reveal actors Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, Jessie Buckley, and Erin Quinn portraying different stages of the band’s iconic career.

Since the movie isn’t scheduled to come out for over two years and filming is still ongoing, we probably won’t see an official trailer for a while. However, we might get more photos from the set in the coming months, offering fans a sneak peek at what to expect from this Beatles film.
