At the recent New Game+ Showcase, Deep Worlds SA announced their new multiplayer shooter, Beautiful Light. It’s a tactical, first-person game where six teams of three players compete to enter dangerous areas, find an artifact, and safely escape. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
In Beautiful Light, the central area where players explore is called the “intervention area.” Players will need to use their intelligence to find a hidden artifact. Like other games in the extraction shooter genre, Beautiful Light offers quests that reward players with better gear. Players will face challenges from both opposing teams and dangerous, otherworldly creatures. Each mission, called a raid, is designed to be a fresh and distinct experience.
A surprising feature of Beautiful Light is the ability to play as an Anomaly. These creatures hunt the other players on the map and have their own unique progression system. Anomalies gain experience by finding and ‘eating’ other players, which lets them improve their skills and unlock new abilities. Each match will feature six player-controlled Anomalies.
To make the game feel more realistic, Beautiful Light will heavily emphasize immersion. Even the on-screen display will fit seamlessly into the game world, designed to look like a real military interface. Players will access this information through a PDA attached to their character’s forearm.
When Beautiful Light launches in Early Access, players can expect the main game mode, a wide variety of unlockable tactical gear, and intricately designed maps. They’ll also be able to create and manage their own dedicated servers, either by renting one or running it directly on their computer.
The game Beautiful Light is scheduled to release on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store in December 2026. Players can sign up now to participate in a playtest.
