The singer of “Encuentros” publicly shared how close she is to Selena Gomez and a valuable lesson Gomez taught her.

Becky, 28, shared with TopMob News at the TIME100 Next Gala on October 30th that she admires Selena’s genuineness. Selena, 33, was honored at the event as a rising star. Becky explained that it’s challenging to stay true to yourself, especially when you’ve been in the public eye from a young age, because many people try to define you. Seeing Selena embrace self-discovery and become her authentic self is truly inspiring, Becky said. Over the past decade, the singer, known as Rebbeca Marie Gomez, has openly discussed her journey to find her identity as both an artist and a mental health advocate.

She’s handled everything with incredible courage, which I really admire. She’s truly beautiful, both inside and out.

Becky and Selena—who is married to Benny Blanco—showed each other support when Selena wrote a heartfelt message for Becky’s inclusion in TIME’s 100 Next list. In the message published on September 30th, Selena described Becky as a strong voice and advocate for their community, saying the world needs more people like her. Becky, already thrilled with the honor, was especially touched by Selena’s kind words.

I was completely surprised,” she told TopMob. “My team was great at keeping the tribute a secret, and it was very emotional – there were tears. I’m so grateful to my sister, Gomez, for taking the initiative and saying such kind, thoughtful things.”

I’m seriously getting chills just thinking about it! The new project comes out in December, and I’m already counting down the days!

Nicole, who has always loved her sister-in-law’s films, asked her a few years ago if she’d recreate some memorable scenes, including a famous one from My Best Friend’s Wedding.

Oh my god, you will NOT believe this! So, she was telling this story on the Everything Iconic podcast, and she said that when we were in Chicago, I practically begged her to do this crazy thing. I was like, ‘Cameron, please! I need you to run towards me from behind the luggage carts, right towards the airport!’ And she actually did it! I was completely obsessed and she just went with it!

Their friendship started when Lawrence emailed Schumer after seeing her 2015 movie, Trainwreck. Lawrence admitted she wrote, ‘I don’t know where to begin, but I have to say it: I’m in love with you.’ They began emailing back and forth, which eventually turned into texting.

What truly cemented their connection was when Schumer casually invited Lawrence to join her and her high school friends for a trip to the Hamptons. Schumer was surprised when Lawrence accepted, but quickly realized Lawrence was incredibly down-to-earth. She described Lawrence as ‘the coolest person you’ll ever meet’ and said she fit right in with the group.

Everyone would want a friend who’s successful enough to own property nearby! Jennifer Lopez and Sofia Vergara have been incredibly close ever since they met and instantly connected at the premiere of Man on Fire in 2004. Lopez described it as an immediate spark, saying she felt an instant connection and loved being around Vergara because she always made her laugh.

Vergara was also enthusiastically cheering on Lopez when she performed at President Joe Biden’s inauguration. She told TopMob News she messaged Lopez, reminding her of her Bronx roots and saying the performance was inspiring and beautiful to watch.

Considered the ultimate celebrity friendship, Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, and Lisa Kudrow have remained close since they first bonded while working on the Warner Brothers lot. According to a source, their shared experience on the hit show Friends created a powerful connection. Just like staying in touch with former colleagues, they prioritize spending time together, whether it’s for casual happy hours or large-scale reunions. The source notes that it’s easy to stay connected, with regular Sunday dinners at Courteney’s or pool parties at Jennifer’s, and that their bond remains incredibly strong and will continue to be.
