Beef season 2 finally gets release date announcement as Netflix hit returns with A-list cast

The A24 and Netflix series Beef, which debuted in April 2023, quickly captivated audiences with its compelling story, striking visuals, and skillful combination of dramatic and comedic elements.

After a three-year wait, the second season of the show finally has a release date, and it’s coming soon!

The second season of Beef is coming to Netflix on Thursday, April 16, 2026. While Lee Sung Jin returns as the creator, the show will feature a completely new story and cast, as it’s moving to an anthology format.

Season 2 will feature Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Charles Melton, and Cailee Spaeny in leading roles. Seoyeon Jang, Youn Yuh-jung, Song Kang-Ho, William Fichtner, and Mikaela Hoover will appear in supporting roles.

Season 2 of Beef follows a young couple who see a disturbing fight between their boss and his wife. This event sets off a series of escalating favors and pressures within the exclusive environment of a country club owned by a wealthy Korean billionaire.

The Netflix series Beef’s first season starred Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, with supporting roles played by Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, and Patti Yasutake. The show centers around what happens after a simple road rage encounter escalates between two people, Danny Cho and Amy Lau.

Cho, a struggling contractor who felt resentful, and Lau, a successful and seemingly perfect self-starter, were locked in a bitter rivalry. As their conflict escalated, both of their lives began to fall apart.

The show’s first season was a critical success, earning numerous awards, including five Emmys, three Creative Arts Emmys, and three Golden Globes. It also received a BAFTA nomination for Best International Programme.
