The show follows a familiar ‘magical girl’ storyline, where the characters transform into fairy warriors. Like many popular shows from that era, Winx Club is experiencing a revival now.
A new version of Winx Club premiered last year, with the cartoon Winx Club: The Magic is Back starting to air in late 2023. But that’s not all – fans are also getting a brand new Winx Club video game after nearly a decade! Called Winx Club: The Magic is Back – just like the show – it was first revealed in late 2025. Now, we finally know when this magical game will be released!
Winx Club: The Magic is Back Sets Multiplatform Release Date
The new game, Winx Club: The Magic is Back, is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on April 30th. It’s based on the recent reboot of the Winx Club series. This is great news for longtime fans, as it marks a return of Winx Club games after a long hiatus – the last one, Winx Club: Alfea Butterflix Adventures, came out in 2017 and was only available on Xbox. Previous Winx Club games were usually released on just one gaming system, so it’s exciting that this new installment will be available on multiple platforms.
Maximum Entertainment, the developer of the new video game based on the popular cartoon, promises fans a uniquely magical experience. You can get a first look at Winx Club: The Magic is Back – coming later this year – by watching the reveal trailer below.
The new game will let you play as any of the six members of the Winx Club. You can switch between them while exploring the Winx Universe, using each fairy’s special powers to overcome challenges and battle magical creatures. The game, The Magic is Back, will feature iconic locations from the show, such as the Enhanced Forest and Alfea College.
Players can experience Winx Club: The Magic is Back on their own or with friends! The game offers both single-player and local co-op modes, letting you team up with a friend to battle the Trix. With a rating of E for Everyone, it’s designed to be enjoyed by both dedicated Winx Club fans and those new to the series.
Winx Club: The Magic is Back will be released on April 30th for PC (through Steam), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. You can add the game to your Steam wishlist or wishlist it on the PlayStation Store to receive a notification when it’s available to buy.
