According to a recent report, an actor well-known for their role in Marvel’s Ant-Man movies may not be involved in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
What Ant-Man star won’t be back in the MCU?
According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, Michael Peña—known for his role in the Ant-Man movies—reportedly won’t be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Richtman isn’t sure what led to this decision.
Michael Peña quickly became a beloved character in the Ant-Man movies, playing Luis, Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) close friend and a connection to his past as a criminal. Throughout the films, Luis provides much of the comedic relief, often launching into rambling, funny stories.
Although Michael Peña was a fan favorite in the Ant-Man movies, it appears he won’t be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He only appeared in the first two Ant-Man films, and wasn’t included in the recent Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Marvel fans have two big movies to look forward to in 2026. First, a new Spider-Man film, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” will hit theaters on July 31st. Then, on December 18th, “Avengers: Doomsday” is scheduled for release, and it’s expected to kick off a fresh storyline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
