2026 is shaping up to be a great year for fans of survival games. Many are anticipating the full release of Valheim on PS5, finally bringing the game to version 1.0. But Valheim isn’t the only popular Early Access survival game coming to consoles next year. Enshrouded, the hit fantasy survival RPG, has just announced its 1.0 launch window – and it’s coming sooner than expected.
The team at Keen Games recently posted a development update on their game, Enshrouded. The game is celebrating two years in Early Access, having been played by over 5 million people on Steam. Enshrouded is expected to officially launch in Fall 2026. Before that, players can look forward to a smaller update this spring that will fix bugs and improve the overall gaming experience.
Enshrouded Sets Autumn 2026 Window for Full 1.0 Release on PC & Console
Since its launch into Early Access on January 24th, 2024, Enshrouded has quickly become a hit. It’s a game that blends action RPG elements with the challenges of open-world survival, allowing players to explore a vast fantasy world. Developers have already released seven significant updates, with an eighth one planned, and players have consistently enjoyed the game throughout its development.
I’ve been hearing a lot about Enshrouded, and it sounds amazing! It’s got a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam with over 43,500 reviews, which is a great sign. What really gets me excited is the co-op – you can team up with up to 15 friends to explore and build your base together. People are saying it’s kind of like World of Warcraft, but with all the fun of a survival game thrown in. Plus, everyone’s raving about how gorgeous the open world is – super immersive and beautiful graphics!
As with any game still in early development, Enshrouded is constantly being improved. Keen Games has said they’re actively listening to player feedback and planning updates before the full game release. They’re focused on refining combat and fixing bugs, with the first set of improvements coming in a patch on January 22nd. Players on Steam should see a noticeably better experience soon.
We don’t have a firm release date for Enshrouded just yet, but we’re currently targeting Autumn 2026. When the game fully launches, it will be available on consoles in addition to the PC version on Steam. Keen Games hasn’t announced which consoles it will support, but expect more details as the release date approaches.
Enshrouded is out now on PC through Steam as an Early Access game. It costs $29.99, but the price may change when the full version releases later this year.
