Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner took their kids out to the ball game.
The actors who played the lead roles in “13 Going on 30” and “The Accountant”, who had been married for nearly a decade before announcing their separation and impending divorce in June 2015, reunited at Fenway Park on July 11 for an uncommon family gathering.
On this special event, the previous pair found themselves seated in the front row, accompanied by their children Fin (previously known as Seraphina Affleck), 16, and Samuel, 13. They were there to witness the Boston Red Sox clinch a win against the Tampa Bay Rays. Throughout the game, these two, who have an additional 19-year-old daughter named Violet, could often be spotted sharing laughter and friendly conversation, their faces radiant with smiles.
Even after their separation, Affleck (age 52) and Garner (age 53) have consistently demonstrated a remarkably cooperative parenting approach.
Last month, Garner penned a heartfelt message on Father’s Day, dedicated to the cherished spot where her three children adore spending time. In tribute to her former spouse, she shared an old photo on Instagram Stories, showing Affleck holding one of their kids as a baby.
Speaking for himself, Affleck – having concluded his divorce with Jennifer Lopez in January following a two-year marriage – has lately expressed his admiration for the effortless connection he and Garner have developed over time.
He mentioned during an interview with GQ in March that he’s incredibly fortunate to share parenting duties with Jennifer Garner, who is truly amazing and they work exceptionally well as a team.
For both Affleck and Garner, it’s crucial that their children grow up feeling cherished and nurtured has always been their top priority.
In a 2016 interview with Vanity Fair following her split, the actress from Daredevil emphasized that the primary focus is their children, and she aligns with John Miller in terms of their aspirations for them.
Should your children admire someone with such sincere and complete affection,” she noted, “you’ll likely find yourself forming a bond with that individual.
Regardless of the sporadic whispers of reconciliation circulating on social networks, it’s evident that the actor from “Gone Girl” has indicated quite clearly that their relationship is history.
In an interview with Howard Stern in December 2021, I shared that my marriage wasn’t sustainable. She’s someone I hold dear and have admiration for, but our paths should no longer be intertwined as husband and wife. We parted ways amicably, doing our utmost to navigate the complexities. Of course, we had our moments of strain, disagreements over custody matters, and faced challenges that were difficult. We would get angry at times, but at the core, there was always a mutual respect that guided us.
