The arrival of each new chapter in the Berserk manga series is eagerly anticipated, as Guts, along with his latest group of explorers, battles demons and Griffith (the white hawk) to save the world. The long wait for Chapter 382 ended earlier this summer in Japan, and fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting more. Now, we’re delighted to inform you that Chapter 383 has a scheduled release date, and there are numerous compelling reasons to look forward to this upcoming edition.
The 383rd chapter of Berserk is scheduled for release in Young Animal on September 12th. This means that fans of Berserk will have to wait a few more weeks to see Guts make his return, as the team works diligently to honor the memory of their late creator, Kentaro Miura. With Kouji Mori writing and Studio Gaga’s artists on board, they aim to conclude the series with the same level of quality that was present when Miura was leading the creative process. Although the 383rd chapter might not be immediately available in North America yet, rest assured we will keep you updated on any news regarding the Band of the Hawk.
Guts in The Cave
Last time we found ourselves, the Black Swordsman was grappling with an unfamiliar challenge – not the usual demonic swarms he’d vanquish with his Dragon Slayer. After Casca’s abduction by Griffith, Guts has been wrestling with personal turmoil, finding himself incapable of fighting, even in the face of imminent death. During the siege on the Kushan Empire, sensing his vulnerability, they chose to banish him – not just any exile, but to a distinct destination.
Pondering over the enigmatic cavern situated not far from the heart of the nation’s city, spectators can’t help but speculate on the destiny awaiting the Black Swordsman, Guts. Given his ongoing psychological turmoil, this secluded environment might serve as a catalyst for him to once again grasp his blade and slash through Griffith’s formidable troops. Alas, at present, we remain uninformed regarding the exact timing of Berserk‘s concluding chapter; however, author Kouji Mori has subtly suggested that the storyline may yet continue for several more years.
In terms of an anime comeback, it seems there’s been no recent news about Guts and his crew making a return to our screens. The last authentic anime series based on new manga chapters was the 2016 adaptation of Berserk, though fans are well-versed in the debates surrounding this two-season production.
