Best Season 10 Chest Run To Gear Up Fast In New World Aeternum

New World’s Season 10 has arrived and is already receiving great feedback, especially for the improvements to character customization! This season introduces fresh gear, quests, and objectives. This guide will show you how to quickly farm high-level gear through efficient chest runs.

Preparing

Potions

Before attempting Nighthaven Runs, make sure you have a Potion of Fool’s Sight. It’s absolutely essential – you won’t be able to succeed without it.

You can make this potion yourself or purchase it. If you choose to make it, go to the Aana Station and look for the Potion of Fool’s Sight. Making it will give you two potions at once. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 Grave Dirt
  • 100 Water
  • 1 Quartz

Gear

Attacks

During this playthrough, you’ll encounter enemy robots. While you can fight them, it’s often smarter to quickly run past and come back for any nearby items they’re guarding. If they attack, use abilities like Berserk – anything that prevents you from being stunned – to break away and escape.

Stuck?

If you get stuck or fall during your game, you can easily get back to safety! Just open the Game Menu and select ‘Unstuck.’ This will teleport you to a safe spot without making you lose any progress, so remember to use it whenever you need help.

Nightbreak Roost

Head to the Nightbreak Roost. The quickest way is to fast-travel to the Church of Divinity in Nighthaven, then ride your mount slightly northeast to reach it.

First Area

Once you arrive, drink your Potion of Fool’s Sight. It will last for thirty minutes, giving you enough time to complete the course.

Okay, so you’ll come to a couple of floating bridges, and there’s a little platform next to the second one. You can cross both, but when you get to that second bridge, definitely turn left! There are two Elite Ancient Chests on the platform, and the best part is, there aren’t any enemies around, so grabbing that loot is super easy!

Second Area

Jump down and continue forward until you spot a crow. You’ll see other crows around the Sorrowthorn Raven, but you don’t need to battle them. You do need to defeat the Sorrowthorn Raven, which is guarding the crow’s nest, to proceed.

You can use the pillar to distract this enemy, as they can be challenging to fight alone. After defeating the crow, a chest will appear on the same platform – be sure to open it for loot!

Third Area

Look up and hop onto the first floating bridge you see. Then, turn right and jump onto the pillar with the crow on it – it has a circular hole cut out near the bottom.

Don’t worry about the crow trying to distract you from the path. The jump is difficult, so you might need a few tries to make it.

You’ll see another crow just ahead, like the one you recently defeated. It’s best to quickly run past it, as it can deal a lot of damage. As you run, you’ll spot a chest near some floating platforms. Ignore it for now and continue jumping upwards to a platform holding two Elite Ancient Chests.

Eventually, the crow will stop being hostile. Once it does, you can go back to the chest you passed earlier and open it, along with the nearby supply cache.

Fourth Area

Okay, so when I got to that platform, there was this big swirling wind thing trying to push me forward. It looked like I needed to just power through it, but actually, you’re supposed to hit the jump pad to get over to that floating bridge on the right. It totally fooled me at first!

Keep following the bridges until you see a crow’s nest. An Elite Chest will be located right after it, just around the corner.

After opening this chest, you’ll reach a fork in the road. Take the right path and find another chest in the crow’s nest. Be sure to take everything inside – it’s all free for the taking, with no battle required!

Fifth Area

Okay, so after dropping down from the nest, there’s this stone pillar you land near. There’s a Sorrowthorn Raven flying around down there, but honestly, you can totally ignore it! Just focus on jumping across to the next pillar. It’s a tricky jump, you really need to nail your timing, but you don’t have to fight the crow as long as you don’t fall. Just get across!

Next, you’ll climb to a higher platform and rest until your energy is back up. You can choose to battle the raven, or simply fight it briefly to recover your strength before continuing to the bridges.

Continue across the bridges until you reach the crow’s nest. At the end of the path, look down and to the left – you’ll see another crow. You don’t need to battle it; instead, jump to the right onto the stone pillar that’s connected to the crow’s nest.

Okay, so I’m at this stone pillar, and if I look down, I see a bunch of bridges I can jump to – or just fall onto, honestly. I’m following the path upwards now, and I just spotted a huge stone tower with a circular hole in it. That’s where I found another one of those awesome Elite Ancient Chests!

Sixth Area

After you get the previous chest, continue to the end of the bridge. Look to your right—you’ll see a small platform below. Drop down onto it; you’ll notice a circular opening in the stone pillar. A blue jump pad is located on that pillar.

Okay, this next part is a little tricky! You need to use that blue jump pad, then aim for the stone ledge above and to the right. After you land, quickly turn around and jump back down onto the platform between the jump pad and where you are now. It’s a supply crate, so you’ll get some free loot!

Return to the blue jump pad and the stone platform you used earlier. Run around the back of the platform, and you’ll find another blue jump pad with an arrow. Use it to launch yourself directly across the gap.

After landing on the pillar, you’ll see a blue jump pad with an arrow pointing the way. Use it just like you did before to jump straight across. You’ll find a supply crate over there with some useful items inside.

Seventh Area

Head through the area where the last supply crate was. On the opposite side, you’ll find a blue jump pad. Turn to face south and use the pad to launch yourself onto the next platform. Then, walk to your left until you spot a stone pillar with a small opening. Crawl through that opening to reach the other side.

Continue crawling forward until you reach a spot where you can stand up. Then, jump onto the stone platform ahead and climb over the debris until you locate a supply crate.

Eighth Area

Climb the stone steps next to the supply crate. When you reach the second step, jump through the glowing circle nearby. You’ll find a boss right after that, but it’s really tough to beat on your own. Just a warning – if you fall in battle, you’ll lose any temporary boosts from your potion.

If you’re feeling confident, I recommend trying to collect all three chests. Using a defensive ability like Stone Form can help you safely grab them, even near the boss, Perun of Old.

Turn right from where you entered, and you’ll see a tall tower covered in vines. Climb up the stones attached to the tower, continuing all the way to the top until you find a supply crate.

Final Area

Return to where you fought the boss and activate Berserk. Then, head to the southwest corner of the area and jump onto the platform directly across from where you are standing.

This jump can be tricky, so proceed with caution. If you fall, you’ll have to climb back up and start the path over.

Okay, so you’ll find a blue jump pad – hit that to land on a stone step. Then, you need to jump to your right and upwards to grab onto the side of another stone formation. Once you pull yourself up, there’s a supply crate you can loot! Definitely worth the jump.

And just past it, there will be the final Elite Ancient Chest waiting for you.

If you’re up for a challenge, you can head down to where the blue arrow shows and find another chest. Just be warned – that area is full of enemies! It’s not required, though.

Final Tips

That finishes the required chest run for Season 10. You can definitely do this on your own, although the boss fight might be a little challenging.

This season’s rewards are a fantastic starting point. They require some parkour skills to obtain, but thankfully, there are usually ways to recover if you miss a jump.

This New World season is shaping up to be the most exciting one so far! I’m looking forward to playing with you – let’s go explore, find loot, and battle tons of enemies together.
