Best Secret Golden Chest Farming Locations in Enshrouded Water Update

Okay, so I’m trying to get the best gear in Enshrouded with the new Wake of Water update, and I’ve found that golden chests are seriously the quickest way to do it. They drop some really powerful purple and gold-tier stuff. I’ve been looking all over for the best spots, and I’m putting together a guide to share exactly where to find them. It’s a full walkthrough of all the secret golden chest locations I’ve discovered so far!

Drak Treasure Pile

Begin by traveling north from the Veilwater Basin tower towards Drak’Dal Camp. The enemies in this area are between levels 41 and 43, so be prepared for a fight. Follow the main path until you reach the camp’s central area, then search for a large treasure pile. Use a pickaxe to break it open and reveal a hidden golden chest. This chest often contains powerful purple and gold-level weapons.

Mining Rift Golden Chest

Okay, so I just found out about this awesome spot! You need to head north to the Mining Rift and look for this huge scavenger building at the very top. Getting inside is the hard part – you’ll need to be able to double jump to make some tricky leaps to get to the roof. But trust me, it’s worth it! Once you’re up there, inside the top room, there’s a golden chest that can give you some seriously powerful, legendary gear!

Gateway Outpost Endflame (Level 50)

Just past Cromville Hot Springs, you’ll find a settlement called Gateway Outpost “Endflame.” To reach the valuable loot, glide onto the platform and turn around before going through the main gate. Look for a ruined house and break through the wooden boards to climb up using short jumps. Drop through the hole in the roof and fall all the way down to the final room. Inside, you’re guaranteed to find a level 50 golden chest filled with powerful items.

Fishing Island Chest

You can find a secret chest underwater near Fishing Island. Swim around to the side of the island away from the docks and the temple. Make sure you have a diving mask or some food that lets you breathe underwater, or you won’t be able to reach it safely.

Swim down and follow the path on the seabed until you find a golden chest hidden in the rocks. The treasure inside changes, but it’s a good place to collect items underwater, especially when you’re first starting out, because there are no enemies to fight.

Cromville Castle

Cromville Castle is a great place to farm in this update, offering three level 50 golden chests. You can find these chests within the Cromville Castle area, but be aware that the routes to them can be long and tricky. We suggest watching the videos to help you find them!

Chest 1

The first treasure chest is located at the bottom of a deep pit. To get there, climb the structure outside, battling enemies and using grappling and jumping moves. It can be a difficult area to reach, so if you’re struggling, I suggest watching the video below for a step-by-step guide.

Carefully descend and stay close to the left wall until you find the chest. Be prepared to fight a few enemies along the way, but the treasure is worth it! To climb out of the pit, move along the right wall and use the grapple to pull yourself back up.

Chest 2

After climbing back to the top of the pit, turn left and begin ascending. You’ll enter a building that leads down into an Enshrouded zone, where you’ll face a boss.

Head left and look for a torch on the wall – that’s your entrance. Once inside, go up through the mansion. You’ll eventually reach a large open space where you can glide down.

As you enter the next large space, don’t go towards the castle. Instead, turn around and climb onto the rooftop – a witch is up there protecting a secret chest.

Chest 3

The third chest is located inside the castle. Start at the main entrance, then turn left twice and climb the metal ladder. Open the first door with a lockpick and cross the courtyard. Go up the stairs on the left, entering the building in front of you. Pick another lock and defeat the enemies to your right. Turn around, facing the way you came in, and you’ll see a grappling hook at the top of the room. Use the grappling hook to reach the final chest, which is hidden in a bedroom.

Underwater Shipwreck

Start at the south side of the Veilwater Basin and dive into the water close to Lake Heartblood. You’ll need scuba gear or something to help you breathe underwater to explore the shipwreck at the bottom safely.

Okay, so you have to navigate through this shipwreck, and the key is using the grappling hook. It lets you get to a hidden golden chest! Everyone says this chest is amazing because it can drop some seriously powerful legendary weapons – I’m hoping for a rare wand, honestly!

Stillwater Bay Puzzle Chest

Okay, so I found this place called Stillwater Bay way up in the northwest corner of the map. There’s this tower gate with a puzzle on top, and if you solve it, it unlocks a room with a golden chest inside. Pretty cool find!

You can solve the puzzle as intended, or force your way through the door with a golden pickaxe, though that option might not always be available. If you complete the puzzle, you’ll discover a golden chest inside, along with a pile of gold to collect as extra rewards.

Old Hag’s Hut

You can find one of the first golden chests near Dragondream Lake. Look for a small hut right outside the village where you begin the game.

Go in through the front door. You’ll likely encounter some spiderwebs, so just walk through them. Then, either crouch low or push your way through the rubble blocking the tunnel. Keep going until you’ve defeated the undead creatures and found the gold in the tomb at the end.

Goldrock Saddle Chest

Head to Goldrock Saddle and find the archway by the water channel. Go into the sewer and defeat the strong enemy blocking the lower passage.

Okay, so I need to head further into the Shroud zone, sticking to the main path, and take out that huge Shroud spawner. There’s also this tough elite enemy in the center that keeps summoning tentacles – gotta beat that one too. Once it’s down, there’s a golden chest back there with a pretty good chance of dropping flippers, plus some awesome combat gear.

Elixir Well (Level 50)

The Elixir Well is located to the west of Starfish Shores, not far from Queen Justina’s camp. This area can be risky for gathering resources because of the tough sickle enemies and shroud minions that appear there.

To reach the boss chamber, dive down into the cavern. Once you find a place to jump, continue down and to your right. Then, turn left and climb up the dirt hill. Keep going, and you’ll know you’re in the correct location when you spot a white chest.

Go straight ahead to reach the boss’s room. First, defeat the sickle enemy and destroy the red flower. Then, use the jump pads to follow the path and find a golden chest on the platform at the end. This chest contains powerful weapons and rare items.
