Be warned, spoilers ahead for episodes 1-4 of Dutton Ranch! The hit Paramount+ series is getting more intense as Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) take the fight to Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening) and her 10-Petals Ranch in the upcoming episodes.
The fourth episode of Yellowstone (formerly Dutton Ranch) showed Beth and Rip getting even with the person who sold them a sick bull, leading to the devastating loss of their cattle. Now, with nothing left to lose, the Duttons and Wheelers are plotting to regain what they’ve lost—and more—over the next five episodes of the first season.
The official Instagram accounts for Dutton Ranch and Paramount+ just released a preview of the remaining episodes of season 1. The video, accompanied by the message “Everything you thought you knew about Rio Paloma is about to change,” suggests a big twist, as Natalie Alyn Lind previously hinted to ScreenRant. A major surprise in the new footage from Dutton Ranch is Rip entering the 10-Petals bunkhouse and taking charge, making Wheeler the new foreman. Meanwhile, Beth vows to uncover everything about Beulah Jackson within a week. It appears Beth and Rip are going undercover at the 10-Petals, which they believe is completely corrupt.
In a key moment from the premiere of the Dutton Ranch series, Rip demands answers from Joaquin Reyes, asking, “Who put the body on my property?” This shows he’s determined to solve the murder. Meanwhile, Rob-Will Jackson returns from rehab and clashes with Rip again, suggesting a rivalry over the position of foreman at 10-Petals.
While Dutton Ranch focuses on the characters and their development, it’s still part of the Yellowstone universe, so expect plenty of violent conflict. Even the gentle veterinarian, Everett McKinney (played by Ed Harris), carries a shotgun, sadly admitting he believed his days of fighting were over.
Everyone at Dutton Ranch will be involved in the upcoming conflict, with Beth preparing Carter for what’s ahead. Meanwhile, hired guns are approaching the Jackson family’s home, and the danger gets close enough to scare Oreana Jackson.
Interestingly, Beulah Jackson and Beth Dutton appear to be working together, as they were seen traveling on a private jet. It’s unclear if this is a short-term partnership, but they might be teaming up to confront Mariano Reyes (Raoul Max Trujillo), the mysterious adversary of the Dutton Ranch.
The first four episodes of Dutton Ranch have created a lot of potential for Beth and Rip’s storyline in Rio Paloma, promising some thrilling developments. It’s hard to tell who the heroes and villains are, or who to even trust, but viewers around the world are in for an unpredictable and exciting ride as the first season continues.
