Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams Will Co-Chair 2026 Met Gala

Prepare to be crazy in love with the 2026 Met Gala co-chairs.

Alongside Vogue’s global editorial director, Anna Wintour will once again lead the annual fashion event and fundraiser, this year joined by co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, and Venus Williams.

Beyoncé’s attendance is especially anticipated, as it will be her first Met Gala appearance in ten years. She last walked the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2016 for the “Manus x Machina” themed event.

Beyoncé celebrated the event in a stunning Givenchy Haute Couture gown, signaling she’s poised to deliver a memorable and artistic look for the 2026 theme, “Costume Art.”

Venus and Nicole have both been frequent attendees at the Gala, including the 2025 event, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”

This year’s hosts will all be women, a shift from last year when the show was hosted by an all-male group including Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams.

Just as the four attendees made a strong impression at the 2025 ceremony, Nicole, Beyoncé, and Venus are expected to deliver stunning looks. They’ll perfectly capture the event’s theme, which celebrates the connection between the human body and artistic expression.

This year’s theme is a significant event for the Met and its Costume Institute. The related exhibition—showcasing both historical and modern fashion—will be the first to be displayed in the Met’s newly opened Condé M. Nast Galleries.

As a longtime admirer of his work, I know this theme really excites Andrew Bolton. He sees it as a chance to truly explore new ideas and push boundaries – and honestly, that’s what makes his exhibitions so special.

As Andrew explained, the exhibit will primarily focus on how clothing shapes our appearance. He believes that “fashion is the common thread connecting all the different collections and galleries within the museum.”

As everyone starts planning their outfits for the 2026 Met Gala, let’s revisit all the most memorable looks from this year’s event.

He explained that the exhibit aims to highlight how clothing relates to the human body within a museum setting, viewing fashion not just as something to look at, but as an art form we experience with our bodies. Instead of focusing solely on how fashion looks, ‘Costume Art’ emphasizes what it feels like to wear clothes and the inseparable link between our bodies and what we put on them, according to a statement shared with Vogue.

According to Vogue, the exhibit will explore different representations of the human body, focusing on themes like nudity, pregnancy, and the aging process.

As Andrew explained, the exhibit will primarily focus on how clothing shapes and defines the body. He believes fashion is the common thread that links all the different collections and galleries within the museum.
