As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel a deep admiration for these incredible stars who stand tall against baseless rumors and misinformation. Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, John Legend, and Solange Knowles – they’re not just artists; they’re beacons of truth in a world where facts often get lost amidst the noise.
You know you’re Beyoncé when you cause all this conversation.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, dismissed speculation about her daughter receiving $10 million to address a Kamala Harris rally in Houston on October 25th. On November 16th, the 70-year-old posted a screenshot of a disputed article from The Candace Owens Show on her Instagram, which was labeled as false news and subsequently removed by Instagram.
She wrote, “She labeled it as Misleading Data. Regrettably, some less credible platforms continue to host it.
The matriarch, who is mother to both the renowned artist behind “Love On Top” and Solange Knowles (daughters of ex-husband Mathew Knowles), subsequently clarified that the disputed social media post was addressing the claim that Beyoncé received a large sum of money, estimated in seven figures, during the rally.
Tina clarified that there was no truth to the claim that Beyoncé received $10 million to speak at Vice President Kamala Harris’s rally in Houston, as she did not receive any payment for her appearance.
She clarified that she personally covered the costs for her journey as well as her team’s flights, along with all the glamour expenses. In other words, she footed the entire bill. She added, “Not only are they spreading falsehoods and disregarding Beyoncé’s reputation, but they are also attempting to undermine the influence of our Vice President!
Tina inquired, “When will the falsehoods and gossip cease? Of course, you won’t find this reported in the news!!!!!!
On October 28th, John Legend joined Bruce Springsteen at a rally in Philadelphia, and he supported the founder of House of Deréon by commenting on one of her posts.
He penned down, “Make them aware, it’s Ms. Tina!” He did so because we were all passionate about our country’s future and decided to perform without charge.
Additionally, it’s not just Beyoncé who faced allegations about getting paid to show up at a Vice President’s rally; other celebrities have been implicated as well.
Oprah Winfrey addressed similar speculations, refuting claims that she was paid a million dollars to show up at a Unite the Nation gathering together with the Vice President in Detroit during September.
In her Instagram post on November 11th, she expressed that she typically avoids addressing rumors, but now recognizes that if unchecked, falsehoods can grow. She clarified that she did not receive any payment. Instead, her contribution to the campaign was through offering her time and effort.
